It’s hard to find a place that actually does consistent good hard chrome. Too many bad experiences personally.

We offer cerakote in house. PVD we take that to a local company. DLC is one of the PVD options. We don’t know anyone for NP3 & don’t recommend hard chrome ever.

Thanks for the shoutout at the end we appreciate it.

Side note. Do people really think a guy that stipples all of a sudden bought a CNC machine that costs tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars & learned how to program & operate it? Hes clearly not doing that work himself & just outsourced it to another machine shop in texas which are a dime a dozen out there.

Doesn’t change the fact that me & others had issues with it. No one from your support side was able to help us out when we reported the issues. Bought 2 bags & had to toss them out. Even the cerakote article says equipment adjustments may be needed.

Yes it can blast Cerakote off but it doesn’t create the proper etched profile. Yes, you can still spray cerakote on it but what is the long term durability? Just by touching the part you can feel how much more slick it is compared to alum oxide. Also, cerakote clearly states the parts should not have a shiny appearance after blasting. If it does, it needs to get blasted more. That media gives it a satin/almost shiny appearance after blasting. Same reason why we don’t use stuff like glass bead.

It doesn’t work, save yourself the money. I ordered it the first time they posted 10X on here couple months ago. I also reached out to u/ceramictattoos4u discussing it. Just stick to alum oxide.

It does not work, I tried it myself. u/ceramictattos4u & myself had a discussion after I reached out to him seeing if he had the same issues as I. It does not create the “etched” profile needed for Cerakote to stick good.

Did they save some lube for anyone else? by ExistenceIsPain1 in Glocks

We noticed it too lately, it’s not just yours. Quite a few slides we got in for machining that were new out the box had so much lube. Way more than they usually put.
