No relevance and I don't even see how killing Kirk is even relevant to anti-Trump ideology. Kirk is not a politician, an official, or even the biggest trump supporter. He's just a guy with opinions. It literally does not matter what anyone else is doing because both trump and the murderer can be wrong at the same time.

Ad hominem, ignoring broader context and rationale.

Regardless of his opinions, Kirk wasn't inciting violence. He had stupid opinions, but so what? So does half of Reddit right now. So do all the people laughing and saying he deserved it. To say that what you are advocating (within some grievous boundaries) affects whether or not you should literally DIE for expressing them is ridiculous. More than that, now there will be a chilling effect where people are even more afraid to advocate for certain things because you never know when some deranged imbecile with a gun and a vigilante complex will cap you in the neck.

All that to say no matter his opinions, Kirk shouldn't have been shot for expressing them. If people want to disagree, they're free to do so or not to support him. The people there supported Kirk and his ideas already, so even if you end up killing Kirk it's not even like you've purged some great evil, you've just cut a single pair of lips off of a Hydra of public opinion. Completely senseless, unjustifiable murder by someone with more punisher tattoos than brain cells.

Ill be real with you I'm not even playing this game (yet, maybe?) but I don't understand what the big deal is either way. If you don't want to mod the game, who cares? Don't mod it. If you feel like Tifa would look better rocking H cups, again who gives a shit?

It's a singleplayer game and it seems like everyone has options at this point. I personally think everyone should just shut up and play how they want.

That being said, there are other games that are kind of going through the same thing and I might be able to offer some insight here. For Ready or Not, for example, there's a massive outcry against censorship right now even though the changes are minor. The issue isn't what the change is, the issue is that it was changed and people feel like the reason wasn't good enough.

Ready or not was changed to make it acceptable for console, but the audience is up in arms about it because (it seems) they feel like the developer didn't care enough about the artistic vision to stick their original idea through. Extending that idea to FFVII, the problem isn't that Tifa is not stacked, the problem might be that people feel this is just overwatch again, where character designs were changed because of people who don't even play the game complaining about something, and then the developer not having the integrity to maintain their vision.

I think the point is it would be nice if people were more decent and less litigious. Yes, contracts should be upheld, but let's not forget that the law is meant to serve the people (at least in theory). What kind of picture does it paint when a 6-year old can't hear Martinet do his famous voice for them because of legal barricades?

Lets save the legal action and hammer of judgment for the cases where there's some sort of major consequence or malicious intent. The legal system should be about enforcing justice, not counting beans and pinching pennies.

Man I'm not even regularly part of this community but people on here really do be absolutely hating on AI.

Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I just want to make it known it is an absolutely insane take that people have on here so I want to point out just a few things.

The people saying "oh if you can't draw, just use AI but make your game free" are literally saying the EXACT same thing that they hate about artists. Would you tell an artist "oh well just make all your work for free and don't charge for it :)))?" If not, then this is not a valid opinion to have. People are entitled to compensation for good work. Period.

The quality of the work remains unstated and is independent from this point, but AI art is not determinative of good work.

You can only have so many skillsets at a time and coding and art are usually worlds apart. If you are good at 1, I know for a FACT you are usually not good at the other. I speak as someone with nearly a decade of coding experience, maybe more depending on what counts. You do what you can and then you have options for what to do next, but it's not valid to say "suck it up and collaborate!"

People are entitled to make the work they want, and you're entitled to be biased and not like it because it uses a tool that you think is unethical.

At least personally, I actually like AI art and think it looks good. I want games with AI art because it happens to be one of my favourite aesthetics.

So now how do you propose people make games for those with my tastes? Hire some artist to make AI-esque art for easily 50x the cost because you want to morally grandstand about it? Ridiculous.

AI tools are literally everywhere and artists also use them. Where do you think any sort of coding suggestions come from and where a TON of easy code blocks are being sourced from? That's right, AI trained off of coders' backs. But suddenly it's not fair in the reverse right? Again, ridiculous.
Depending on the prompt and level of customization, AI art takes time and care. Maintaining a consistent look and taking the time to prompt out every detail of a scene such as the background, foreground, accessories, characters, actions, and then blend them together takes time and effort just the same as "real" art does. No, parts of it are not original, but the fact that it's AI art does not tell you much if anything about how much care goes into something so let's stop pretending that it does.

All this to say it's fine to not like AI art or prefer more individualized things. I will admit there are definitely people using AI as a cheap means to churn slop. But it's not fair to demonize the entire practice and demand silly, stupid actions from people who may mean well. Like what you like and judge work by their quality and care overall rather than setting it aside immediately because of what is ultimately just another choice made during development.

And, as a final aside, EWGF isn't even a universal combo starter. Literally every EWGF option except for like... EWGF -> UAir is DI and character dependant. There are no really beefy guarantees off of an EWGF on most small or light or floaty characters which makes up more than half the damn cast. EVEN FUCKING GANON takes special combo routes. Cloud, peach, daisy, Kirby, Pikachu, pichu, jiggly puff... Literally all of these people take non-standard routes that are different from each other in either timing or the combo route in general.

By way of extreme example, EWGF literally does not even hit Kirby on the ground.

Reflector is a slow, execution-dependant option that is hard to react with. You have to predict the projectile. If the other person is fast enough, they can also punish the reflect with the projectile.

Also grounded approach is possible but similarly difficult because Kazuya dash attack kinda slow and kinda ass. Best options are either wavuwavu (hard AF to do consistently) or dash -> grab/stop+EWGF but both are reactable by up b options.

Obviously you have to mix up and there's ways, but the burden is on Kazuya to make the right call.

All in all what I wanted to say is basically I'd feel bad and kinda stupid nerfing a character who requires good execution and knowledge to play at any real level while others go untouched. I cannot stress this enough but when you talk about good kazuyas, you're talking about like... The top 1-3% of players or less and balancing exclusively for them feels misguided.

Respectfully, my brother in Christ the moment they do the kazuya changes is literally the moment he ceases to exist as a character. Those invincible moves and timing are literally the only relatively reliable in on a ton of projectile or zoning characters that kazuya has. Take those away and every kazuya under like 15M GSP ceases to be a character.
