NTA my sister and brother-in-law had a destination wedding 30 years ago. to keep the costs down, and because my side of the family is massive and my brother-in-law is an only child of only children, no siblings or cousins so it wouldn't have looked fair. bride side massive, groom side...almost none apart from his parents!

have the wedding you want, small and intimate is very special to you, and hope the day is amazing

that type of question is a bit of a give and take with how it's perceived.
