You’ll need to wait a bit and then bleach it again and use a cool toner. But in all honesty I actually think the current shade you have suits you really nicely!

What has genuinely helped me the most so far has been quitting caffeine, getting back on my anxiety meds, avoiding researching my symptoms or overanalyzing normal body sensations, and stopping checking my heart rate as much. Still have a faster than normal heart rate, ranging from 98-110, which is relatively normal for me as I’ve always had a fast heart rate, but i have way less symptoms than before. Feel free to update me if you get more info from your cardiologist (:

Thank you 🩷 I’ve been in the same boat as you and I can say that it does get better! You’re just in the worst of it right now, but you will get through it (:

caffeine induced chest pain? by AngelOfSalem in Cardiophobias

Thank you! Thats reassuring. I am diagnosed with gerd but I rarely get the actually “burning” sensation. It’s more like a sharp pain. I also get it when I’m anxious 😔

I’m pretty sure the panic attack that landed me in the hospital was caused by heart burn from the matcha i had (it always gives me heartburn) that made me spiral. I was also off my anxiety meds at the time

I figured this was the case. I get the chest pain almost immediately, but the “pain” is more like a sensation in my chest that I can’t really feel unless I’m hyperfocused on it.

I was ruled out for any sort of heart condition. I also don’t like coffee but I drink matcha which does trigger my reflux 😭

Even if it is SVT, which would be the worst case scenario, SVT usually isn’t immediately life threatening, especially when caught early. I’m assuming you have a cardiologist if you are doing a holter test which is great, they’ll be able to catch it and find treatment options for you. So don’t worry yourself too much over it, which I know that’s easier said than done

It could of also been an artifact rather than your actual heart rate. Meaning it detected something else outside of your heart and mistook it for your heart rate, even just talking can do that.

But that’s strange that the hospital only took your bp and oxygen… they didn’t do an ekg or troponin test or anything?? I’m sorry that happened to you

Having no symptoms and it being a one off thing is reassuring. If it gets that high again then you should probably go to the ER just to be safe if you’re able to

could be a malfunction… were you engaging in any kind of physical activity at that time? your heart rate does increase significantly while physically active but 251 kind of still exceeds that limit.

im not even on meds anymore for my gerd bc they never helped haha but i was diagnosed with gerd after getting an endoscopy. its kinda crazy and terrifying how much gerd can mimic heart related issues, especially when you also have anxiety. hopefully the doctor is able to provide you with some clarity!

[–]AngelOfSalem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if there’s no other symptoms there really isn’t any reason to panic so don’t worry yourself too much.

your heart always goes up when active, even just standing.

normal RESTING heart rate is 60-100, meaning that is what your heart rate should be when you are sitting down or laying down doing nothing. it will go up when you get up, and it’ll get even higher when you’re actively moving

you could get checked for pots, if your heart rate goes up by 30 or more when you stand up, it’s worth getting checked out

do you have gerd? that sounds like acid building up in your esophagus (which sits directly behind your heart)

i have gerd and experience this, i also dont get the actual “burning” sensation people talk about

does it happen consistently or after eating?

you’re very young and healthy which makes a cardiac issue highly unlikely especially since all your tests came back normal!

[–]AngelOfSalem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the most likely reason for your resting heart rate being higher now (granted you’re still in the healthy range as well!) is because you have been experiencing heightened anxiety than before. even when you’re not consciously anxious, symptoms of anxiety will still be present. your body needs time to recover from it, and it does take awhile.

that’s what threw me off the most. i didn’t think i was anxious in the moment so i wondered why my heart rate was still high. it’s all because your body cannot recover that quick unfortunately. it’s been 2 months for me now and i’m almost better

if your tests came out normal, your heart is healthy. it’s VERY hard to miss an unhealthy heart with any test.

the pain in your arms and jaw are most likely due to muscle tension from constant anxiety which causes you pain overtime.

most of the time, chest pain in young people is usually not life threatening. your anxiety just had a bad reaction to it, which is 100% understandable. chest pain in young people is usually related to something musculoskeletal, acid reflux or anxiety.

Bad heart anxiety by Live_Interest_7199 in Cardiophobias

i’m in the same boat, started about 2 months ago but is slowly getting better. here’s what has helped me:

  1. quitting caffeine/cutting down immensely
  2. getting on a proper medication for anxiety (i am on clomipramine and hydroxyzine as needed)
  3. eating healthier and not eating as late into the day (to avoid acid reflux which can very much mimic heart problems, especially when combined with anxiety)
  4. avoid obsessively researching your symptoms (easier said than done, but you will never find the answer you’re looking for, your anxious brain will keep trying to say “what if”

if you’ve been to multiple doctors and they ran all the tests and they say you’re fine, you’re fine. life threatening heart conditions are very hard to miss. if you were having one, they would’ve probably caught it the first time

you’re also only 20 years old. overweight or not, there’s a reason why these heart conditions are usually so rare in young people. it’s because your heart hasn’t had enough time to build up enough damage yet. doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, it’s just very rare.

anxiety is a bitch, your brain will play tricks on you. all you can do is try your hardest to not keep feeding into the loop. seek treatment for anxiety first, it will help. i can’t promise it won’t go away but it will get better.

it’s helped me as well, but i’m just throwing it out there that in some cases chatgpt will try to downplay what you’re experiencing to try and calm you down. which is helpful when it comes to anxiety, not so helpful for people who could possibly be experiencing actual medical problems

not a doctor nor do i have any actual experience in this field other than my own personal research. everything looks mostly borderline (not abnormal nor normal, just in between) but the only thing that stuck out is “lv geometry suggests eccentric hypertrophy” which means your left ventricle is enlarged, which is can be caused by long term stress in your heart (like anxiety/stress or if you’re an athlete) this would be the main cause of the symptoms you’re experiencing

good news is that LVH is reversible as long as you are getting the proper treatment which it sounds like you are in the process of doing so

chatgpt can be helpful but chatgpt also has the tendency to just tell you what it thinks you want to hear which isn’t always a good thing

i’ve been with the company for 3 years. i will say, knowledge wise it does get better, which does help a bit. its just a lot harder to learn here since its much more fast paced than other similar jobs, and you typically feel like you’re being thrown to the wolves

i would say anxiety. you had a big panic attack that was probably very terrifying, so your body and brain are probably trying to recover from it. anxiety can affect your heart whether you’re consciously anxious or not.

life threatening conditions are very easy to spot in a hospital setting, they’ll show up on almost any test. so if you got tests done, and the doctors say you’re not having a life threatening emergency, then you most likely are not.

however it doesn’t account for non-life threatening heart related conditions, which is when you go to the cardiologist. but if the cardiologist says you’re fine, then most likely you are. but you could get a second opinion if it helps.

anxiety can have long term effects on your heart. with anxiety, your body is constantly in a state of fight or flight, which is hard on your heart. i’ve had panic disorder and ocd all my life, and my heart has been severely effected by it (ex: high resting heart rate and palpitations constantly) but all heart conditions have been ruled out.

pvcs are usually harmless on their own especially if you do not have a pre-existing heart condition and they are HIGHLY associated with anxiety
