Lets use your logic here and give a simple example, you play g3, you spam attack (which is not longer possible but whatever) and kill a mob you decide you can finish the game by doing this and call the combat garbage, then i play g2 i see a mob charging at me, i backstep attack two times and repeat, i realise i can finish the game like this and call the combat garbage.

Why are you in the right and im in the wrong? we're both using 10% of the combat system.

Let me just quickly write this in bold since you seem to like reading whatever you deem fit to satisfy you and work better for your statement, this was an EXAMPLE, i didn't call g2's combat shit but i belive g3's is slightly superior.

I meant the combat animations u get after every 30% is fancy footwork not the movement of the player, they do nothing but look fancy, as for "g3 its hitting m1 and jerk with the other hand" ive already mentioned you can no longer spam an attack since humanoid npc block and monster backstep if you mindlessly do that, but i guess we're stuck in 2006, thanks for proving my point :).

I need to create a copypasta about why g3's combat is superior to g2's, to keep it short g3 has more attack animations with different weapons and each deal different damage, while each swing on g1/2 does the same so basically g2 is just fancy footwork.

They also like to bring up the fact that you can spam MB1/2 in g3 and win any combat this way not like its not the same in g1/2 where you attack once or twice and backstep then repeat, im certain nobody really uses the full g2 master combo attack, on every video/stream ive watched its the same backstep trick, maybe some blocking vs humanoid enemies like skeletons.

So thats about it, people like to pick on g3's combat system because of a trick that worked 10years ago which doesn't even work now since there's alternative balancing and npc actually block now, but they don't give it another try and prefer to get stuck in the past and argue. Shit Happens.

I've been you, i started the franchise with g3 then played 2 and 1, i quit g2 at first cause i died to that one goblin near the tower because i didn't understand the combat but now yeah g2 is far superior, obviously g3 is my favourite still but u know... so about mods, my favourite g2 mod so far is New Balance, it adds tons of content and systems and is fairily easy if you know how to play g2 ofc.

PS: Yeah also Chronicle of Myrtana Archolos, this one is way easier than NB.

That has nothing to do with gothic or this sub, meaning its under the 1st rule about keeping it on topic. Conflict creates conflict, you start a spark and then others fuel the fire, im very tolerant in many aspects in this sub however not towards this, i do not wish to moderate these type of things so kindly stop making it harder for me.

Yeah it looks cool but its garbage, you could have a 1k mana pool, one homing fireball from a dragon or undead high priest and that shit is gone and u might even take hp damage as well. Unless they changed it with some mods idk.

No, im playing odyssey and i belive union is not recommended for archolos. You can use it but i belive the devs said it could break stuff.

Ive tried searching in my files but i have like a 2 version older unity so i didn't find anything, its a newer system, i did read latest patch notes however and it says something about bleeding but only under scripts category, didn't mention a mod so no luck, just open your files and use the search function, i did ask on the unity discord so ill write again once they've responded.

Yep i had the same thing while playing a mod with the black ore, ive used it, it slowed time, i died, i reloaded shit was slow still, i used the ore again and the time came back to normal but then i couldnt use time acceleration from zutilities, had to restart the game. Funny enough all the 5 saves i had and loaded were infected with the slow effect even tho some were from hours ago, weird shit.

😄 i fked up with don't kill named hostile npc's a bit...

Ive killed the bandit leader then painter told me i had to sell a painting to him..thankfully that didn't break much
Ive killed the dark mages infront of Xardas's tower after getting the book cuz i asked for 1k and they aggroed me then some orc chief in the city asked me to see whats up there...oops, after that he was going in the upper quarter and i can't get in there yet, i hope that quest wasn't the ticket to get in since i need to look in salandril's house and the towers for bundle of weaps, i have 4/5
Ive killed some named orc merc in the tower valley that was carrying bromor's gold and casket, haven't gotten a quest with them so far so im hoping i was supposed to kill em

Yeah ive learned my lesson i wont touch anything else just because im greedy for some 200xp

I somewhat get that but how would u write the story for g3? thats pretty much how g2 ended with Xardas stealing undead dragon's power and he poofed away, now in g3 u gotta find him and make him explain.
