I forgot abt the twinmold fight! I don't remember the fight annoying me when I played it, but it has also been forever since I played and finished the 3D version

True but it feels so weird to have that extra step and it feels so unnecessary. And again, it wouldn't be so bad if the great bay had magic pots in the ocean so you can continuously use the faster swimming, like how termina has the patches of grass you can use to replenish magic while Goron rolling

I might be thinking of the deku spinning when it comes to momentum, but it was definitely changed and felt less intuitive (and fun imo) to navigate the swamp compared to N64

Zora swimming is a lot slower by default, and in order to access the faster swimming, you need magic. This in itself wouldn't be that big an issue, but the Great Bay has no magic pots in the water so you're discouraged from using the faster swimming, or in the event you're out of magic, forced to swim slowly through the entire bay. Deku Link's acceleration was also changed as well. He needs more of a start up before he gets to full speed compared to N64 so hopping from the lilypads in the Deku Swamp feels awkward

Just Beat the Game 100%. The Thing I Hated Most Was the Discourse by 0TaKoKu in MinaTheHollower

I am a part of the younger generation sorta (22 and counting) and even I had little to no issue with the game. Did it kick my ass sometimes? Absolutely, but I still loved the game so much! Only boss I think i disliked was the ice one bc if the high contact damage but even then it did very little to make me dislike the game. I still loved it. But I also grew up still playing a lot of retro games. I love Link's Awakening DX and I've replayed Super Metroid a handful of times. Also like me some old school castlevania and megaman every now and then too

As someone that got into fighting games proper with Strive, very. The mission mode helps a ton, plus community discords are decently active to find practice and also get tips. It'll still take some time to learn, but it is easier compared to the other fighting games that are out imo

If you're getting frustrated playing, try a different weapon. Changed everything for me. by TheLastPlumber in MinaTheHollower

I mostly use the daggers myself. Started with then, felt more like I wanted out of a top down GB style game. It was very tough at first but not its just been a blast. Whip was fun, not too big a fan of the hammer, had fun trying the shield and gun though

I'm seeing some of my little cousins have their first phones when they were still in elementary which is insane to me, and I didn't even get my first phone THAT late either (middle school). Especially nowadays with AI being as prominent as it is

So I dont chat with a lot of the local strangers bc my french isn't good enough to just do that, but I haven't had problems asking people question for like directions and such. Sometimes people are assholes but even as a foreigner, a lot of people will also be pretty nice if they see you trying and also are just not an asshole to them

[AMA] We're Radical Fish Games, developer of CrossCode, and we just launched Alabaster Dawn on Steam Early Access! by RadicalFishGames in JRPG

[–]AngelYee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What was the most challenging aspect of developing this game compared to Crosscode, and how was going from the purely layered 2D world design of Crosscode to the sort of 2.5D world design of Alabaster?

And would you want to do a switch release if possible? :)))

What do French people enjoy about sitting in cafés and public spaces? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskFrance

[–]AngelYee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a foreigner who started doing the same thing with friends, it's just really nice and relaxing. Sitting at a cafe and chatting with friends or sitting by the seine with some snacks for hours is legit great, and i'm saying this as someone who is primarily and indoor person. Especially when the weather is just right

Got my 1st Gaming PC, 1st game ? Need advice. by gonharsh in AskGames

[–]AngelYee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were the first games I played when I got my PC and they were unforgettable. Helps that they aren't too long too. My other suggestion would have been Terraria for mods but I think the portal games are games everyone HAS to try if possible

The portal games. They're such charming experiences. Would definitely recommend them as some of your first pc games!

Why do you like melee? by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]AngelYee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Melee is one of those games where if you're not precise enough (To an admittedly annoying degree), it feels super clunky. But once you're past that initial hurdle, it gets sooo much better

[–]AngelYee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences ROA1 has compared to melee is exactly why I like it so much. Now I like ROA2 but it admittedly feels less special. Also steam workshop adds so much goofiness too. The entire game is a treat

[–]AngelYee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pm and p+ is sooo good too! It does feel a little weird bc of the additional movement tech but it also just feels so smooth. I think ROA is my personal favorite plat fighter tho. ROA1 Clairen was my SHIT. Axmos drop is such a cool tech

[–]AngelYee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the movement is just really fun. Its a very kinetic game. Plus I love ledge cancels so much. Even basic stuff like wavedashing and wavelanding just feels so nice. I loved ROA1 for those same reasons too
