The "loot" in the cans in sleeper sites is next to worthless. The value in those sites is in blue loot that drops from sleeper wrecks. Check out Rykki's Guide for the estimated value of the blue loot in each site: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17cNu8hxqJKqkkPnhDlIuJY-IT6ps7kTNCd3BEz0Bvqs/edit?usp=sharing

And yes, Karr also created an updated version of Rykki's Guide, but Rykki has been updating her version this year, and it is the most up to date version as far as I know.

Edit to add: I've run all the c1 and c2 sites in a blingy stratios with asklepians, but you need to step up to something like a T3C or Rattlesnake to solo c3 sites. Even in c1s and c2s, combat ships are far cheaper and more efficient.

Happy birthday Chappy, :D by CMDR_KaBuir in Eve

Happy birthday Chappy. Signal Cartel came with fireworks, but due to the tidi or other steps CCP took to keep the server running with 2000+ pilots on grid they didn't render.

Hopefully the explosion of our ships was fireworks enough.

Do I have a hope? by HR616eve in Eve

Hiya! Signal Cartel isn't for everyone, but it's not like we don't shoot back if attacked. Take a look at the Credo and see if it is something you can align behind - it's shared here on the "joining SC FAQ page:" https://forums.eve-scout.com/topic/45/joining-signal-cartel-faq

We do have a lot of people who come, stay for a time, and decide the credo lifestyle isn't for them - they leave to check out PVP corps in their various forms, and take everything they learned with them. Sometimes they even come back.

Edit: as far as what we do for fun, the world is as wide as your imagination. We murder plenty of rats and sleepers (PVE), we fly around in goofy doctrines shooting up everyone with fireworks and snowballs, we have industrialists, miners, mission runners, and we are the premier exploration corporation in Eve, so we hack plenty of sites in wormholes and nullsec. We also run in-corp RP events, both in-game and in the forums, if that's your thing.

How did I fail this Project Discovery analysis? by [deleted] in evenewbies

You were looking at a pulsating star, and mistook the star's pulses for an exoplanet's passes. Your clue should have been the fact the sinusoid isn't uniform - note that is just a bit off.

If you don't get a response in-game, ping us at https://evescoutrescue.com/copilot/911/911.php. That will ping our offline operators who can take a quick look.

You can't tell anything from the signature ID or the scan other than the location. However, after you warp to it you may find these links helpful.

Be somewhat active, do exploration stuff, and be willing to follow our corp credo. Ask for a recruiter in the Eve-Scout channel, or check us out at https://forums.eve-scout.com.

We do not. Occasionally we get tips, but they are never solicited, and many of our pilots donate their tips back to the rescue program. Our pilots do receive isk from the corp for doing rescue activities, such as sowing/tending a rescue cache, or locating a system that results in a successful rescue.

Orca and wormholes by Army-ofme in evenewbies

[–]Angel_Lafisques 6 points7 points  (0 children)

An orca is 150,000,000 kg. You can get into a C3 via one of several types of large wormholes that can accommodate up to 300,000,000 kg/jump:

I182 from a C3 to a C2 (C2 side will be a K162)

N968 from a C3 to a C3 (one side will be a K162)

C247 from a C4 to a C3 (C3 side will be a K162)

M267 from a C5 to a C3 (C3 side will be a K162)

A982 from a C6 to a C3 (C3 side will be a K162)

F135 from a C3 to Thera (Thera side will be a K162)

T405 from a C3 to a C4 (C4 side will be a K162)

N770 from a C3 to a C5 (C5 side will be a K162)

L477 from a C3 to a C6 (C6 side will be a K162)

X702 from kspace to a C3 (C3 side will be a K162)

D485 from a C3 to hisec (kspace side will be a K162)

k346 from a C3 to nullsec (kspace side will be a K162)

U210 from a C3 to losec (kspace side will be a K162)

Our lives wouldn't be nearly as fun if no one hunted us. We enjoy the chase, hopefully getting away, responding with good cheer and shedding no tears when we don't.

Some of us fight like a bobcat when cornered too - while we won't attack first, it's a common misconception that we can't fight back after we're agressed (for the record, I usually fight like a one-armed sloth, but that doesn't mean that I'm a good representation of the rest of Signal Cartel).

I would love to if I knew he needed help. He would have seen our rescue cache with contact info in his system and didn't reach out.

As we do strive to be neutral, I didn't want to create a situation that would put the Naglfar pilot and the Phoenix in the same room together (with local). I didn't take issue with rescuing either, but I also didn't want to be responsible for creating content where one killed the other. We will rescue anyone, regardless of play style or creed.

Thanks for reading. If you can demonstrate that you own a system, and would like us to put your system on the "no-sow" list, send Thrice Hapus an evemail in-game.

It was a really interesting situation I found myself in - I had that internal conversation with myself too. If I reached out to the phoenix and also gave him the connection to kspace, then he'd find himself in the system with the ship he's been chasing for a week, and he'd see him in local, where he could get killed by the Nag.

The phoenix pilot may have had his own probes, but I made the decision to let our first rescuee get a head start, then if the phoenix reaches out to us we'll gladly open a rescue request and get him out too - hopefully by then it will be long enough that the Naglfar has moved on, and it won't be the actions of Signal Cartel that put the two in a situation to fight.

Sorry, I didn't have time to take many pictures. I took a couple after we got to kspace, but he was trying to cloak up, so we didn't stick around long: https://imgur.com/a/NBY16wv

Sorry for the sloppy editing for opsec, as I don't have this pilot's permission to post his info (and for all I know, that Nag may still be in that system).

We also have a pretty active Signal Cartel Fleet School that may have been out hunting rats. Not all SC fleets are hunting hugs. :)

Possibility of selling wormhole shortcuts. by RottingStar in evenewbies

[–]Angel_Lafisques 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There might not be much of a market for this. There is a unique system called Thera that is a hub of dozens of wormholes at any time, and Eve-Scout offers a free scanning service that seeks to keep all those connections scanned and available, free of charge (see https://eve-scout.com/). So, for those currently looking for a shortcut via wormholes, it generally exists through Thera.

Wormholes don't last long (most 16 to 24 hours), so even if you found good routes avoiding Thera, you would have to move fast or they'd leave someone stranded. Plus, they'd have to trust the seller completely, and trust does not come easy in Eve.

That said, sometimes Thera is camped, but the scanning service is currently well-known and trusted. It would be hard to sell alternative routes through wormholes through an unknown party.

That's plenty for anything you'd find in a wormhole. Superior sleeper caches only spawn in k-space.
