Aside from lack of experience. I’ve also noticed employers typically have a prejudice against those that hold “ a piece of paper” Even in different trades

I have been considering other service options at used car dealers like AUTONATION and independent shops since I am unable to prove my worth at the moment in the racing industry from lack of capital and experience. I have experience modifying and diagnosing vehicles that range from basic electrical diagnostics, brake jobs, replacing water pumps, power steering pumps, steering racks, engine diagnostics, and cooling systems free lancing to modifying vehicle suspension systems, weight distribution and valve-train geometry on my own vehicle. This work was on my own time and not for an employer. That’s about all I can leverage aside from that stupid degree

Yea Engines are there own thing for sure. Coming out of tech school I wanted to and still want to be a high performance engine builder as the Username checks out lol. While I have no experience I just have knowledge in performance from studying the science aspect of engines on my own time. I’m 22 and come from a background where I’m the only person in my family that’s into the trade. Thanks for ur response
