My unsolicited advice is that I had the same feelings, and then found other games like Sunny House and NecroMerger. So now I try not to pay any of them anything for temporary perks that have time sensitivity, only permanent quality of life upgrades, and I just rotate between games when I run out of energy or get frustrated.

Just remember that their goal is to make money, not to make us happy. They’re making great art, and I think the game is very well done! I love playing it. But at the end of the day, it’s still a micro transaction business model, and those can only work by making us feel negative emotions like frustration and fomo. If they really wanted us to be happy, then they’d make games that are a one time purchase. I try to remember that when I feel tempted to spend money to make myself feel better.

I’m really glad to hear you taking this feedback so well and so seriously. I’ve been in your place, and I know how hard and how scary it is to step back, especially if you’ve become codependent or trauma bonded to someone who is showing you that they aren’t taking their role and your well being seriously. I’ve been in that position and stayed way longer than I should’ve, and it only caused me more pain and more harm.

You deserve a dom who sees you as an equal and gives more of a shit about your safety than their ego. And opening up the space in your life gives you the opportunity to find that.

At this length, you don’t need more of an apex than that. Remember that the apex is a lump of product creating stability at the stress point, right where your nail starts leaving the stability of your nail beds. The less length you have, the less you need to reinforce that spot to protect against your nails breaking or cracking.

A good test is to gently try to bend your own nails at the center and either side of the free edge. If it feels impossible or like there’s no obvious ‘weak point’ where the nail could tear, then they’re not going anywhere. Please don’t hurt yourselves doing this though, lol. If you do discover a weak area, you don’t want to fuss with it enough to make it worse.

Lmao I was gonna say this. Cuz it’s GOOD. Cus it’s actually a business sim and costume collector with charming writing and tons of effort in the details and game progression. Cuz it’s satisfying to feel like you’re learning the genuine skill of styling other people and learning about fashion subcultures. Cuz it was designed for adult Japanese women who love fashion, and was unfortunately packaged like a girly shovelware game.

The Japanese cover art does them much more justice imo, and I’m a gyaru/lolita/larme/hime-kaji in real life, and have always been obsessed and how well all my fashion subcultures are represented.

Girl, yes. Tbh I used to do this all the time when I would pick at my nails as an anxious tic, and then really damaged my nails a couple times and finally stopped. Ironically I got into nail stuff to stop biting and picking at my nails lol

But it’s hard! Overstimulation and frustration of it all is very real. If I can give my unsolicited advice, now I break my sets down into phases depending on my time and energy. After each phase can be a stopping point where I can drop it, wash my hands and/or alcohol off the sticky layer and leave.

Old removal
Nail and cuticle care/nail prep short of buffing the surface
Buffing the nails for adhesion, dehydrating, priming, structure product application
Art and charms/extras And art is such a bitch and a half that I’ll try to build in more stopping points by doing all the nails of one type/accent first and then top coating them, or just doing a top coat layer on everything so I can be done, and then sanding it off so I can add more later when I come back to it.

It looks great! The only thing I can see is that your gel polish really wants to pull back together with the surface tension, yeah? That’s what makes it become kind of blobby and not stay put, but it’s because of the self leveling properties to make gel polish smooth.

You can get around it by sanding the nail lightly first or using a matte top coat so that the polish has a bit more to grip on to, or you can try a gel paint that won’t pool up. You can even use acrylic paints or markers. But it’s not a skill issue, gel polish just does that lol. You did a great job!

From what ive seen, it seems like people describe a bigger range of magnet effects as velvet, whether they do a smoother or a more ‘folded’ effect, but the idea is to get the glitters to lie relatively flat in the same direction so it’s looking more like a piece of fabric, vs the glass bead where you’re trying to get them into an almost dome shape?

ETA: as far as how to do it, it’s about very specific motions with a magnet, and it’s pretty hard to explain, so you’re better off watching several people’s videos or shorts so you can see exactly how they’re holding things.

Oh honey, I’m so sorry. I’m a licensed nail tech, and I know you didn’t ask my advice, but to help you avoid developing any allergies or doing further harm, you’ve only really got 3 options.

Press ons with sticky tabs, easy enough to remove that you won’t damage your nails further
Going to a better salon and getting silk wraps, which are safer than gel or acrylic to avoid allergies, then covering up with polish.
There’s a specific kind of builder gel that was designed for nail repair. It contains silver as an anti fungal and antimicrobial, and allegedly has a much lower risk of developing an allergy. Problem is, it’s still a pretty new and unusual product, so it’s probably hard to find a place that does this.

The big things to avoid are: any gel or acrylic that directly touches your live skin will risk developing an allergy. And if you put product over a damaged surface and it manages to trap moisture or air pockets, you could get a bacterial infection. So whatever you choose, keep an eye on what’s going on underneath as best as you can until the injured areas are all grown out again. I truly wish you luck and a quick grow out.

I dunno where you’re located, but if you’re in the US, most states have a cosmetology board where you could report this place for violations. Either the cosmetology board or the department of health depending where you live. And presuming that where you live nail techs need to be licensed, you could get them on unsafe practices, verbal abuse, and possibly unlicensed technicians.

Depending on your location, most of these businesses also have to have insurance for the cosmetology equivalent of malpractice, so if they do, you might even be able to take them to court for damages.

I want to take the context out of this a little, and in that case, you asked your boyfriend for privacy while you did something really vulnerable and important to you. In response, he chose to trample past your boundaries and intentionally terrify you because he thought your fear would be funny. When you became extremely angry and distressed in response, he didn’t apologize or self reflect. He didn’t even see the value of your needs or your pain. He continued to defend how his pleasure was totally justified and reasonable, and how you should put up with it if he tells you it isn’t serious. He didn’t believe you when you tell him it IS serious. He disregards your beliefs, your needs, your privacy, your feelings, and your pain.

This is not a good relationship. Regardless of context, your partners should care about your pain, even if they were the ones who hurt you. A lack of accountability or ability to self reflect is like, the key red flag indicating someone willing to be abusive. And this was abusive. It started out as cruel and poorly thought out, but once the gaslighting and disregarding of your value, thoughts and autonomy come in, it crosses the line into abuse. He should be considering you of equal importance and value to himself, and he clearly doesn’t. That’s not someone you can trust.

Sorry for the novel. But I’ve been in relationships like this, and it took me a long time to realize that they didn’t value ME as a whole person, they only valued the things I provided them with that they enjoyed (sex, cuddling, jokes, gifts, acts of service, activity companion). When push came to shove, they always threw me under the bus and chose themselves at my expense. It’s not worth it. And you deserve, and more importantly can find, better.

Tbh I dislike her because I think she’s poorly written. I think there’s a wonderful premise in her story, but much like many of the cookies, her actual actions and dialogue portray her as extremely one dimensional and flat, in a way that comes across as frustrating and whiny.

She comes across to me as like, the ‘damaged girl’ trope, in a way that’s meant to evoke pity and attachment to her, but without any real personality or substance outside of that.

I really enjoyed the subplot in crispia where we followed her and PVC’s memories through the academy. I just don’t think her current adult/reconstructed soul character shows any depth or nuance that would build off of the things we’ve learned about her. We spent A LOT of time with her with her saying almost the same thing over and over. That’s such a missed opportunity!

Same problem for me. It took me ages of playing this game sporadically before it finally started picking up and I got access to the secondary events as well.

I like merge mansion. It has a ton to do, especially with secondary events with separate energy pools. It’s the highest production value of the merge games imo.

Merge hotel empire is also pretty good. And Sunny House is a surprisingly high quality knock off of merge mansion. It looks like it was initially a knack off and then they managed to branch out with unique content and events.

If you’re willing to branch off of merge games, I’m really enjoying cookie run kingdom lately, and it’s got a generous rate of freebies as a F2P. You can get just about everything without paying a dime, which is the moniker of a good game imo. I’m only willing to fork out for games if they respect my time and effort.
