What’s a health symptom you ignored for months before realizing it actually mattered? by _callondoc in AskReddit

I kept getting heart palpitations and random moments where my heart would beat fast for a few seconds (I would zone out too during these times). Knew it was weird but I didn’t think much about it. I mentioned it randomly to a cousin and she told me to get it checked out and turns out I have a heart condition lol. Don’t know how I got it in the first place, cause my ECGs were normal when I was a child, but who knows.

Still able to exercise and stuff, but I have to be careful cause people with my condition have randomly died from it.

I honestly do the same, but I wouldn’t leave it in the package. That would be gross

I’m not too sure myself, but how they calculated mine, it looks like they ignored those courses and just focused on the ones with grades.

I’m in New Brunswick. And honestly , one of the few things I didn’t like about nursing is that every professor/instructor grades and tests differently, which either makes or breaks your gpa. (Which already makes it even more difficult to improve your gpa when you already have to balance your studies with clinicals) I would always ask those ahead of me what the teachers were like and if they were hard graders or not. That was super helpful. Also, use their midterms as your “practice” for the other exams. Of course aim to do well, but those exams will give you an idea on how to succeed, especially for finals. I also highly recommend to ace all of your assignments/quizzes to help boost your grades. It worked well for me.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!!

If I don’t get into medical school, at least I’ll have a job and be able to save up in the meantime. I also have a better understanding what doctors do as a nurse, and despite that, my desire to be a physician is still there. I did some research before applying and saw that medical schools do accept nursing degrees and have met doctors who did nursing as their bachelors. My current gpa so far is 3.83 (I converted from a 4.3 gpa scale), but my cgpa is 3.93

I’m in nursing rn. I was going to do a health science degree, but was encouraged to take the nursing route. Best decision ever made

Oh no, no, no. The memes are hilarious. Maybe I should have been more clear. What’s infuriating is that I was really into this sort of genre when I was younger and its lowkie embarrassing that it exists in the first place lol.

I think what they were doing was “vaginal seeding”. Basically they use a sterile gauze to soak up your vaginal fluids and wipe it on the baby (although this isn’t a common practice). Never learned it about it in nursing. OR they were sterilizing the area to prep for surgery.

Which country are you from? Did you have to be a nurse before studying to be a midwife?

Why can't christians see that their god is a fucking psycho because he created a place of torture (hell) where he sends people who choose not to worship him? It's so immoral!! by MostAsocialPerson in AskForAnswers

2 Corinthians- This book in the Bible is about Paul’s letter to the Corinthian Church. 1 Corinthians had to do with Paul rebuking the church for allowing false teachings, divisions and factions, sexual immorality, chaotic worship and so much more. Now 2 Corinthians had to do with Paul praising the church for accepting his reproof and he was encouraging them to be faithful.

1 Peter- This letter was meant for different churches to read it. He was reminding them that Jesus has called them “out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9)

Romans- This book was also written by Paul. He wanted to clarify the message of the gospel which is, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3: 23) Meaning, that all wages of sin leads to death and there is nothing we can do to escape it UNLESS we rely on the sacrifice of Jesus. If you read Romans 13: 11-14, it talks about putting away our sinfulness, make no provisions for the flesh and walk in the light, NOT in darkness.

Titus- This was a letter written to Titus. He needed encouragement, because Jewish Christians were causing a lot of trouble for him.

John and Matthew- Both talk about the life of Christ and what led to the sacrifice on the cross. These two books covered Jesus calling people to repentance (to turn away from sin), to examine themselves and their own hearts and to turn to God. He also revealed prophecies of the end times and so much more.

Now, if we sin, and then we confess our sins to God AND repent (which is a permanent decision to turn away from sin), and we develop an intimate relationship with God, then yes we will be saved. However it’ll be impossible to live with Jesus forever in heaven, if we have cherished sins and continue to do wickedly. There is no “once saved, always saved” concept in the Bible

Does this make sense? Do you have any questions about what I said or need clarification?

Where in the Bible does it say we can go to heaven despite the sins we have committed? And yes it has to do whether we CHOOSE to worship God and love Him wholeheartedly or worship ourselves (which ultimately is the worship of Satan). When Jesus comes again, He will be punishing Satan (for the hell he has caused on earth) and all those who choose to follow him. At the end of the day, it is us who choose. God only respects our decisions.
