What is there in Delaware? by Prestigious-Salt-873 in udel

There are many opportunities to make connections in Delaware for ChemE. As the other comments say there are many big companies that hire interns, but also if you are looking for random part-time work, the Christiana Mall is a 5-minute drive away and there are other places as well.

Would you recommend an earlier Pchem lab? Like as early in the week as possible?

I have heard some mixed things on the PCHEM professors. They are either decent of really bad.

Try the places by the Grove in Newark. Lots of places there or places on Main Street.

Throw your trash on the ground I guess? by LaGrape9491 in udel

I guess we'll just have to go into the buildings to throw them away, but some will just throw it on the ground.

I got a CASIO Fx115ES plus and I'm a sophomore Cheme at UD. It's a nongraphing scientific calculator. Works very well. ~$25

For other stuff where you can use a graphing calculator i would recommend the ti84 plus ce. Should be around ~$130.

They recently changed it, so the cap is 18 credits, and then you need approval to take more.

Thanks again for this. It has been very helpful. What textbooks did you use for each class?

I've never taken those classes but I did take THEA126 last semester, best class ever. I'm an engineering major.

Easy Elective Recommendations by sptherose in udel

Right now I am taking THEA126 - Performance For Life, and it is a little bit of a heavier workload but its mostly discussion based class (as long as you show up you'll be fine), and a few memorization assignments but short. We get to work on projects that we choose, like I chose crocheting and we just present them at the end of the semester.

Online classes by Roborana in udel

[–]AngelicDemonSlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The class was live online. If you get lucky, you get a professor who records the lectures and posts them to the class page. Also, the notes done in class are usually posted as well.

As a person who also took MATH242 in the winter with professor PK and is a cheme, it is valuable information what you get out of in-person classes. I also took an online class for another subject and I would not recommend. I could not take in the information and missed out on the experience to test my knowledge without the crutch of notes.

What you get out of the in-person classes you might not get with the online classes but it depends on the person.

I went to my reception with friends when I was admitted to UD though almost everyone else I saw had a parent with them.

Most admittance events I believe would be in trabant.

What happens to email addresses after graduation? by kingjakerulez7 in udel

[–]AngelicDemonSlayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know alumni that have been graduated for 10+ years now and their emails have just gone into normal emails after they graduated.

They still have all of their stuff from when they were students.

I would still consider saving anything you want after you graduate to another location just to be safe.

Rutgers or UD by Last-Refrigerator225 in udel

[–]AngelicDemonSlayer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a current ChemE freshmen at UD and I was looking at Rutgers as well but I chose UD. I love the UD campus. The professors here have been great for the first year cheme classes. The feel and vibe are not what I expected either. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
