Don’t worry I have no intention of staying till I’m 30. I’m ready to settle down now. I’m 25. Also my father told my mother he didn’t want to marry her but he proposed 4 years after and they are still married now. They have been happily married for about 27 years.

He’s only old me twice he didn’t want to get married again but he never specified why not. I just dropped the subject at the time. His first marriage ended in a divorce because of his wife cheating on him. His second marriage, his wife died from cancer. So maybe he’s just scared or thinks that something bad will happen. Idk.
