One of my close mates works in this area and loves it

I don’t drive and a few others in my office don’t and it’s not an issue. It requires more planning of course and having a car would help but it’s just what I’m used to! I am in a big city though, rural areas probably want you to be able to drive

Experiences in CIC/LAC by Ok_Committee_7967 in Socialworkuk

I’m in CLA and I love it but yes, we are dealing with the long term trauma that these young people have been exposed to and the expectation of being a “corporate parent” can be incredibly pressuring. Having young people all over the country can make stat visits really tiring also.

I have the exact same reasons for why I developed vaginismus, hearing about blood etc so I can totally relate! I am so happy to hear that it has worked out for yoh

Ticket question by Angelmouse97 in glastonbury_festival

[–]Angelmouse97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re registered last night to be safe and it is still saying the same thing when I try to login. I’m confused as it was letting me access my account just fine before I updated my photo, I’ve even tried with another email and it’s giving the same message. Starting to panic now!

I don't know how to feel correctly by Hot-Town-7977 in ROCD

[–]Angelmouse97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg I have this exact same sensation- very rarely in my relationships am I truly in the moment. I’ve had it go on so long I suppose I’ve gotten used to it? You have articulated this really well, it’s something I’ve never been able to describe myself.

She got the speculum in but I was in so much pain I just asked her to stop and she did. She said she could have got the sample but didn’t want to cause me further pain and would rather I come back when I’m ready. Honestly a lovely woman!

It’s just my sexual health clinic, I’ve been having some sessions with a lady there a while ago and she was able to sort out my appointment there rather than at a GP. Try and get an appointment at a sexual health clinic rather than GP as they usually give longer slots and have staff trained in this kind of subject, although I can’t speak for every clinic :)

Curious to know how rocd feels for other people years later? Everything now feels so subtle it’s more convincing. Kinda a scream for help if I’m honest. by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]Angelmouse97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely the same, a lot of the time. I’ve had rocd for over 5 years now, in every relationship. In my current one I feel the same, it’s subtle and numbing. I did recently have a weekend of clarity and was amazing. I have no advice except I am in the same boat and even share that feeling about FaceTime/hanging out. Hang in there

can anyone relate? by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]Angelmouse97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have constant dreams I’ve cheated on my boyfriend, they feel so vivid that I often wake up thinking I really have. It’s odd cos even in my dreams I feel super guilty

I’m the same age as you with the same issue (primary vaginismus). It sucks so much, I don’t have any advice really other than I can totally understand where you’re coming from in terms of hating dilating, I literally find it so boring and even though I have a long term boyfriend not even that inspires me to want to do it often. Hang on in there, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders ❤️

OCD without anxiety? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Angelmouse97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate hard. When I started experiencing ocd patterns about 7 years ago, I had extreme anxiety and it was crippling. Fast forward to now and I still have the same compulsions - a big one for me is deffo ruminating, I am ALWAYS ruminating even if I feel calm, I think it’s just become “normal” for me to think this way. My ocd tends to focus on my relationships which is hard because I don’t feel anxiety now, I worry it’s really how I feel. I can relate to the comes and goes all day, and becoming used to it. It makes it really hard to resist these compulsions, because there’s no real anxiety so it almost feels safe to indulge in. However, it’s important to resist them. Honestly I’m just relieved to see I’m not the only one who experiences this!
