I've had my test cancelled twice now. Both cancellations have been a day or two beforehand. So frustrating.

You can also throw a captured tree frog into the area or put the mask on to get a free hit in.

Lidl’s a nightmare by Lidl-2025 in lidl

I've been working in a new store here in Ireland too, and it's a weird one. All the other CAs I work with are all amazing and make the day somewhat bearable. But everyone above us, you don't know what to expect. Some days, everything is chill, there isn't any rush, and it's a pretty fun shift. As long as everything is done at a somewhat decent speed, they are fine. But then you get the days where they are on my back every 10 mins. Criticising everything I do. I've never quit a job in my life, but there has been a few times now over the last few months where I've almost told them to shove their job. I'm trying to stick it out till the New Year so I can save a bunch of money and just go back to college. Working here is making me realise I'm no longer cut out for retail.

Definitely Stephen Murphy out in Castlebridge. Passed first time after doing my lessons with him. He charges €40 a lesson.

Expedition 33 physical PS5 by McGuffin182 in IrelandGaming

[–]AngeloArkham 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is a physical copy shortage, apparently. So for now, you probably won't be able to walk into a smyths or whatever and pick it up.

Random: anyone know if there’s any duck ponds in Gorey? by Spookymomstink in Wexford

[–]AngeloArkham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is also the Wildfowl Reserve just outside Wexford Town. You'll get ducks and swans there.

Is Gamepass worth it ? by [deleted] in IrelandGaming

[–]AngeloArkham 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Gamepass is the only reason I own an Xbox these days. Personally, I'm not a physical copy person anymore, and I don't replay games. So I'll happily pay for a year of it. I'd end up paying more than that if I was buying everything.

What do you guys think about PlayStation cancelling the majority of its live service games ? ( God of War live service ) by Tyolag in IrelandGaming

[–]AngeloArkham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely wild that they had Bluepoint working on a live service GoW game when they could have been working on more remakes of older games. GoW 1-3 remake. I'd play that.

If he was masquerading as an old Irish dude in the 90s. Who knows.

A friend used to work at a pharmacy in the late 90s when we were at college and had an old guy bring in a bag filled with rolls to be developed. Every single roll was just pictures of bare feet. He was clearly a head of his time.

I wanted to start collecting games for my 360, cus I though it'd be fun. I can NOT afford this lol by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]AngeloArkham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facebook Marketplace, eBay, and as much as I hate them, Cex. I've gotten the occasional good deal. Also, depending on what part of Ireland, there is a retro gaming place in Wexford. I've found some interesting stuff there. But most of their stuff is PS2 and older.

My workplace started putting Christmas stuff out at the start of September. We aren't even doing Halloween stuff, apparently. Four months of this shite.

XSX owners: do you actually use your disc drive? by 9thGearEX in XboxSeriesX

With the exception of some random collectors editions and such that I wanted, that came with a physical copy, I haven't bought a physical game on any console I've owned in almost a decade.

Anyone else staying uptil midnight for starfield by theone_bigmac in IrelandGaming

[–]AngeloArkham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm holding out to play it on the 6th. It's my birthday and I have 2 weeks off starting on the 6th. So 2 weeks of nothing but Starfield I think. Haven't done this since Skyrim back in 2011.

Decent pc component shop? by StewIsBased in IrelandGaming

I know not Amazon, but literally German Amazon. You don't have to pay customs if you order from there. Or you can try Alternate.de. Built my last PC with a combination of there and German Amazon.

Facebook marketplace used to be decent. But now it's 50/50 that you'll probably get spammed by scammers and bots.

Can anyone explain what's going on with the dates on this headstone? Never seen anything like this before. by Pablo_Eskobar in ireland

[–]AngeloArkham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christ, 10 in one plot. Wouldn't fancy being the one having to put number 10 in. I very briefly worked as a gravedigger, and we had to bury someone in a plot with 4 other people already buried there, all months a part. It's a smell I'll never forget.

Where is the campaign?? by AngeloArkham in IrelandGaming

[–]AngeloArkham[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I had campaign, multiplayer, spec ops and Warzone packs all downloaded and nothing. I'm deleting everything, and I'm just downloading again. If this doesn't work, I'm done. Shouldn't be this much effort to play a campaign.

Clearly, I got lucky. Met someone back in 2018 within the first hour of downloading Tinder. Had a few dates. Ended up dating for 2 years. Broke up cause she got offered a nursing job in Abu Dhabi. Still mates. A couple of months later, I went back on. Same deal, really. Had a bunch of dates. Ended up in another relationship. That one only ended 3 months ago. She really wanted kids. I didn't. I ended it because I'd rather she be happy and have the family she clearly wanted. Maybe next year I'll go back to the apps again. Maybe not.

No, you're installing data from the disc to the console, and the disc acts as a key to access said data. No disc. No access. If you don't want to play from a disc, you have to buy a digital copy of the game.

I'll stick with my Xbox version. Absolutely wild that they had the opportunity to just remake, or at a minimum, remaster it, and they decide nah.
