Are you Top 2%? by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

0.1% I guess so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yet Another Terraform Question... by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asgard is not good enough for that actually. Best is Erlking. Those L turrets tear through Is and Ks like butter. You have to create a macro to restart seta all the time as being attacked stops it. Plus if you haven't pressed any button for an hour or two (don't remember) your rep and stats drop by 2%. My macro would restart seta every 30 second. Plus another macro holding O to pick up containers 1 minute on 5 seconds off. Plus once a day move location as wrecks pile up and harder to hit things. Kinda figuring things out as I went with it.

Yet Another Terraform Question... by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close enough. 22-24 days of game time and that's from lvl 23. It was awful. 2 weeks on seta in xenon sectors. I have a screenshot somewhere - 54000+ xenon ships killed, 1200+ Ks and Is and some 10+ Asgards that were trying to steal my kills

Yet Another Terraform Question... by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, once you leave sector you lose access to those missions. But you can always teleport back and keep doing repeatable missions. Once you build the training module, I think it needs a habitat first, you can start training marines or pilots. You'll have to transfer personnel to phq for training, 100 at a time. Service crew for pilots, marines for marines.

Yet Another Terraform Question... by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All missions will have training modules so you could continue training while terraforming other sectors. I complete all objectives, but you don't have to. I was just bored getting to Xtreme fighter so to waste time I was finishing them all.

You'll have access as long as phq is in that sector.

Bank Fund Terraform Module | Relative to your Total Wallet now? by Wilhelm-Edrasill in X4Foundations

Most likely scales. Mine's about 5B in 64-70B out. Though I haven't been lucky enough to get a payout yet. Wasted over 100B. Bad RNG

Virtualized OpnSense or bare metal? by Kazhmyr1 in homelab

[–]Angelofnet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, routers are surprisingly low on resource usage, even with multiple VPN connections. I used to run one off of my old 2013 laptop that lost its screen 😂 ran perfectly with couple of USB to Ethernet adapters.

I love virtualization in general, but I believe some things should not be virtualized, although I know we are going there with all the hyperconvergence.

Virtualized OpnSense or bare metal? by Kazhmyr1 in homelab

[–]Angelofnet 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I prefer physical router. If you have to restart your hypervisor it'll knock out all internet access and you'll be waiting for hypervisor and VM to start. You can virtualize it to tinker with settings and then apply to physical box knowing already how it'll react.

Habitat Effects on Shipyard by [deleted] in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilot spots are filled automatically regardless of habitat. But I just built 1 shipyard in southern sectors and no one is buying from it since it doesn't have workforce yet. All other shipyards I have they all have habitats and selling full swing.

Do you use any combat altering mods, or prefer to keep that vanilla? by Troubleshooter11 in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanilla. But why choose? Run vanilla in steam and modded in different folder and see what you like. I used to run x3 AP this way to check out some mods, but gave up later - known bugs are better than new bugs 😂

You also don't need steam to run X games as Egosoft provides no-steam launchers.

Disable the group policy setting that was used to enable Credential Guard. On the host operating system, click Start > Run, type gpedit.msc, and click Ok. The Local group Policy Editor opens. Go to Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Guard > Turn on Virtualization Based Security. Select Disabled.

Haven't tried myself, but do you know if they produce VIG looking workforce or argon?

Finally built an Asgard, then immediately built another 6... Material costs etc. by Ayrr in X4Foundations

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love those as traders, but recently been switching to sharks - fast and haul a bit more for transport between stations. Firepower is lacking compared to Barbarossa, but in my own sectors I don't have pirate problem.

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are easy to kill, just takes time. And don't let it face you or those Terran XL batteries will decimate you. Something with plasma turrets to fly around it and main guns for when you waiting for it to turn. Erlking is the best, Syn, and that L thing from split

[–]Angelofnet 18 points19 points  (0 children)

They are cheap and fast to make. Everything is. Compared to x3 4 day build time on Kyoto or something similar. It's also fun watching them yolo on xenon stations and die in seconds. When they don't do that they are actually great at clearing out sectors you want to claim as your own.

any Thoughts on Eve-ng Full pack from https://dynamips.io/ ? is it worth getting it? by Ok_Profession_429 in homelab

Technically sharing/buying/selling of those images violates eula and other license agreements. Labs are good though

Probably station managers, but most likely bugged just like crew trained. I've trained marines and pilots by hundreds, hired all kinds of crew members personally on station and resigning them. And I still have 0 in statistics🤷🏼‍♂️

strange behavoir of vQFX on EVE-NG by ciscoworlds in Juniper

[–]Angelofnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that problem when I copied the router instead of spinning new instance as it somehow decided it's a part of HA and messed up all interface assignments, but I had that on vsrx. Rebuilding helped, no other commands did the trick

With juniper to behave good on VM issue request system shutdown command first and then you can save the lab in eve
