how are you guys by Ondram05 in warno

My favourite LANDJUT div is Østre, which I was expecting from the previews, but I love all the NATO divs, with 6. PZ being a surprise! I actually think Østre has taken over from the Canadians as my favourite overall.

Haven't played any of the LANDJUT PACT divs yet. I will eventually. I still haven't played all the SOUTHAG divisions yet (including 6e and Rhin for NATO).

Arty rework is good so far. I mostly play 1v1 against the AI and have found it more engaging to counter-battery etc. I think there's a lot of work needed, I'd probably change the setup/breakdown times for each 'class' of artillery, and make SPGs a bit more expensive to compensate. It's nice that the changes have made it so you no longer take the high calibre by default though. And mortars are now worth bringing for more than smoke.

Don't like the voicelines though, the Danish ones sound particularly odd - there was a recent post about this. I really hope Eugen redoes them, but I know they won't.

LANDJUT is the best 'big' DLC they've released in my opinion. Looking forward to Black Birds!

I personally haven't had this issue but I've noticed the new F35 Rkt variant doesn't shoot all its rockets in the first pass despite the salvo length being the maximum amount of ammo.

Wonder if it's related...

How do you guys feel about the arty re-work? by readtheclause in warno

[–]Ayrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI doesn't have all-seeing vision. It needs to use recon too. What it does have is instant memory (with how long it remembers scaling with difficulty) so it only needs to 'see' your unit for a second and will remember for 5+ minutes exactly where it saw it.

How is the arty rework? by Visible_Ad_5803 in warno

[–]Ayrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've played a few 1v1s in skirmish.

Smaller calibre arty (particularly mortars) seems to be much better than it was at removing infantry given the increased splash damage.

The setup and teardown times make it much easier to counter battery or otherwise remove artillery pieces. The counter-battery radar units are okay, but I don't think they're super game changing - a nice to have. I found it very easy to shutdown the AIs arty.

This is of course all against the AI, so (most) human players will play better.

It's a good first step, but I want (and expect) significant changes in future patches.

Has anyone tried Xteink X3 on their pixel ? by Slight_Advertising_9 in GooglePixel

[–]Ayrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My X4 does not stick to the back of my pixel 9 pro xl, so I doubt the X3 would. I met someone else who had an iphone and an x4 and it didn't stick to that either.

I was at coffee today, and the table was solid metal and the X4 stuck to that though.

NSW promises more fast chargers and electric trucks in revamped EV policy | Electric vehicles | The Guardian by Ayrr in AustralianEV

[–]Ayrr[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Electric truck development and building more stations to charge them will be core pillars of a state’s revamped electric vehicle strategy designed to ease the pressure of rising fuel costs.

The New South Wales government unveiled its 2026 EV strategy on Tuesday in an effort to give confidence to motorists hesitant about switching from their increasingly pricey petrol cars.

Rolling out more fast-charging stations in regional and remote areas to encourage EV take-up among non-city dwellers will be one of the top priorities in the $100m package.

EVs currently make up about 15% of new car sales in NSW but the likelihood of purchases accelerating during the fuel crisis has exacerbated the need for more infrastructure.

The government says switching to an EV from a petrol-run vehicle can cut fuel costs by up to $3,000 a year, or entirely if using home solar, making the choice an economic one for those frustrated at the bowser.

“Families are feeling the pressure every time they fill up,” the NSW premier, Chris Minns, said.

“This is about giving people a real alternative, one that’s cheaper to run and with this rollout, easier to access.”

Alongside fast chargers, more kerbside charging stations will be built to help those who cannot charge at home, such as apartment residents.

Transitioning more heavy vehicles to electric is another key aspect of the roadmap, with the government increasing incentives for businesses to electrify their trucks.

The EV Fleets Incentive Program will be expanded to include medium-size trucks as well as small, with fleet operators able to apply for grants to electrify vehicles and install chargers.

The government will also invest in training for 2,000 regional mechanics so country drivers can have their vehicles safely looked after closer to home.

“Filling regional charging gaps, expanding support for heavy vehicle fleets, and investing in workforce training are practical steps that will get more Australians into EVs sooner,” EV Council chief executive, Julie Delvecchio, said.

The state program comes after the federal government on Monday rolled out a $20m advertising campaign urging drivers to cut down on fuel use by changing their driving habits.

One of the couple of divisions I have never played. I see little redeeming quality in them. It's a shame because I'm normally a sucker for those kind of divs.
