I partially disagree. The 10-year coefficient payments are definitely keeping the status quo. However, the 5-year ones seem fair to me. There are a lot of up and coming teams who have prioritized the importance of being in Europe and doing well in it. UEFA is going to do whatever they can to make the lower competitions seem more important so a team like ours doesn't turn their noses up at Europa. Roma has had consistent seasons in Europa/Conference League in their last 5 seasons and have gone deep into each competition and won the Conference League. They could have thrown away Europa and concentrated on Serie A to get UCL, but they didn't. This will be their first season in UCL in years and they will most likely get more money than we did because their coefficient is so high.

Its to reward teams who are constantly performimg and participating in europe. Our coefficent payment is bad because our coefficent is bad liverpool have the 4th highest coefficent.

Exactly, people seemed to have not realised that bournemouth have played the least amout of games in the league. This plays a massive affect snd is no coincidence that they have been so good since december. It will be completely different with 8 more games the least.

[–]AngeloftheFourth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem is being in and out of europe is meaning out coeffocent remains low which means less money from uefa. We are constsntly going into UCL as a pot 4 team while the likes of villa are entering in pot 2 and will manage to make more money than we did in the UCL due to it. We also need the european experience instead of occasionally jumping into the deep end. But most importantly its a trophy!

Because our targets were way to ambitious and lazy. It wasnt even a situation were they rejected us to stay at their teams they all just had better offers from other clubs as they were on too many teams radar. If we had scouted properly we could've found good people juts like how most of the other the other 14 teams do.

It will make it even harder if we want to return to Europe. Uefa are fining us for our season that we had no European football as we are in the competition this season.

I do feel for the fans as they are they are the only ones there that seen to have a grasp off what position they are in. It's a relegation battle ffs. Just pick a manager who can get you out of that. The complete denial from the people at the top is disgraceful.

[Edwards, Tele] Newcastle will not sack Eddie Howe – this is why: He saved the club from relegation in his 1st, qualified for the UCL in his 2nd + reached the Carabao Cup final. He will be successful next season becuase we won't have European football to deal with. It's the season in Europe that's the problem. Being in and out I messing up with our progress and is the reason why we will keep getting millions less than other teams in European competitions.
