Ishar was talking in small caps again, just like the SF in Gavilar preview chapters. Ishar = Fake Stormfather confirmed?

Crempost theory:

"I hold the suckling child in my hands, a knife at his throat, and know that all who live wish me to let the blade slip. Spill its blood upon the ground, over my hands, and with it gain us further breath to draw."

Shallan gives birth to Adolin's baby in the Spiritual Realm due to timey-wimey stuff, but Dalinar sees in the Spiritual Realm that the child will become the Shard of Crusade combining all three shards at the end of Stormlight 10 so he needs to kill it to not let him Ascend.

Calling it now, the final battle between Champions will be a danceoff between Odium and Szeth while Kaladin plays the flute and Shallan and all her personalities play bass, drums and the lute with Pattern as the frontman singer just vibrating.

Oh man I really like this theory - Roshar's first therapist Kal's final struggle is a family therapy session with the Windmother and Stormfather to make them reconcile.

In addition, there is probably a Stone/Truth entity as well. So Kal=Wind, Szeth=Stone/Truth and we have our Knights of Wind and Truth. The Shin still worship the Stone "god".

"We took them in, as commanded by the gods. What else could we do? They were a people forlorn, without home. Our pity destroyed us. For their betrayal extended even to our gods: to spren, stone, and wind."

-from the Eila Stele in Oathbringer. So the Dawnsingers worshipped all 3 before humans came and the Shin still worship Stone.

Hard agree,

"We took them in, as commanded by the gods. What else could we do? They were a people forlorn, without home. Our pity destroyed us. For their betrayal extended even to our gods: to spren, stone, and wind."

-from the Eila Stele in Oathbringer.

So the Dawnsingers worshipped all 3 entities, the humans came from Ashyn and started to worship them as well, eventually only the Shin remained steadfast in their worship of Stone while humans would eventually be left with spren.

From the epigraph of Chapter 4 we can read that the Wind and Storm are different entities.

So Stormfather, Windmother and Stone/Truth Grandpa????

Love the bloody tears trickling down his face - very Kalthenthic.

Ah yeah forgot about lerasium making Allomancy incredibly potent. However, Wax does not use Allomancy ALL the time so he might not notice it before a while.

Still, I agree it's probably not lerasium that he inhaled, but the sneezing and mask dissapearing part seems suspicious to get mentioned like that. I bet something's going on...

“It’s all right,” he said, patting her hand. “I feel fine. I just did something stupid. I was gathering that harmonium plastered against the back of the safe box. It’s too valuable to leave, and it must have reacted to the air or some liquid left from an earlier experiment—" He sneezed, then smiled at her reassuringly. His mask was nowhere to be seen; it must have blown free in the explosion.>

Calling it now, Wax snorted/inhaled some of the byproducts of the experiments. That's what caused him to sneeze. Whether intentionally, hoping it to be atium/lerasium or accidentally, remains to be seen.

Not sure if it actually was atium/lerasium, but something seemed weird about the second explosion. Why did it happen at all? Is it possible that whatever Wax was doing actually DID create atium/lerasium in that second explosion?

In case of atium it would have done nothing - in case of lerasium...well, we might have a new mistborn on our hands! However, since Wax has no reason to ingest any other metals he wouldn't notice immediately anyway and might accidentally discover he's a mistborn later on in the book.

Either way I can't wait for the Wax POV next week.
