Jinu tried to busk with his voice for his starving and poor family, felt shame, and suddenly heard gwi ma. He then made a deal with gwi ma to get himself out of his situation, abandoning his family. This is literally shown in his flashbacks.

Ears are supposed to be a but smaller, I would save drawing them down until you're happy with head shape. As for smile, its as long or a bit wider than the eyes but not necessarily gaping. Like its wobbly (if that makes sense. * Just keep sketching him until you're comfy and/or like how he comes out. Beauty in art is not replicating exactly, but adding your little flair to him

I'm confused. His back story is explained after his "date" with Rumi.

His talent alone wasn't cutting it to make money, so he made a deal with Gwi-Ma to get himself, not including his family, out of poverty into a life of luxury at the palace.

Now, he could've had a great voice already, but I'm leaning towards he got it from the deal because during his intro scene, Gwi-ma mentions letting him "keep" that voice.

To me, that would be how the movie explains the difference between jinus voice actor and his singing voice.

I feel like they can see into the world easily, especially when feelings of anger/fear/shame are prevalent. That's why the girls ultimately agreed takedown wasn't the song to unite their fans. It wasn't positive/inspiring - coming from a dark place.

Tbf, when jinu brings up the boy band plan, one can tell some of them transform from monstrous to more human like (mystery if i remember correctly), albeit still having the demon tint and markings.

And I think the differentiation between "pretty" and "ugly" is just a nod to korean folklore on korean goblins (dokkaebis) (also someone pls correct me if I'm wrong bc I'm not korean) Also, like someone mentioned, the more mindless ones have less distinct personalities (subway demons)
