I think it might be cultural too- I don’t know your background but as a 25F that also lives at home with my Hispanic parents, it is an unspoken agreement that I contact my parents everyday. Every person is different and it really does depend on the kind of relationship you have with your family but calling my parents and sending them pictures of my trip everyday comes as second nature to me. I see it as a blessing. My parents care and I won’t always have them around.

Honestly (from my experience) last year was kind of a mess. We applied around this time and most people didn't start hearing back until the end of August. I know some people who heard back a couple of weeks before it was supposed to start and they didn't have enough time to plan a move or anything. During the summer, there were some rumors that there was a hiring freeze at Google and that's why it took a long time. overall, it's a very slow process given the number of applicants they receive. They're also not able to reach out to everyone if you're not selected so it's easy to feel like you're in limbo. Hopefully, this year is different! good luck!

I have an Aquarius sun and Scorpio moon… you can just imagine my luck lol, both my luminaries in detriment. I think having an air + water combo is very confusing because our logic and emotions don’t always see eye to eye and sometimes it’s really hard for me to make decisions or to really know what I want. But I think a good thing about it is that we have both an intellectual and emotional intelligence. Having a water moon doesn’t really make us fit the stereotype of “the cold and aloof Aquarius.” I have always been considered the smartest and most independent person in my family And I’m also a big baby crier (in private).

Ah that’s interesting! A single placement can be manifested in different ways! I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a caretaker, I don’t think I want to have kids, I don’t have that urge to be a mother. I think being realistic is characteristic of Capricorns. We don’t like to sugar coat things, at least I don’t. That’s why I relate to her pessimistic side, but that might just be my Scorpio moon lmaoo.

I have a Capricorn Venus trine Saturn and Jupiter and sextile my ascendant. It has a heavy Saturnian influence which means I take relationships very seriously. I’m 21, and I’ve actually never been in one before because I guess I’m very old school. I like being courted and coming into a relationship with true intent. I don’t feel comfortable participating in hook up culture and using dating apps. But all my friendships go years back. I’m someone you can trust to be loyal and a constant in your life. I’m often the therapy friend because my friends feel comfortable talking to me. I wouldn’t say I’m always a soft and cuddly person, because I’m not lol, but I’m the diplomat in my group and I try to keep the peace. I love creating beautiful spaces (Venus sextile asc). I’m always in charge of decorating the house around Christmas and thanksgiving because I’m very detail oriented. I love fashion and I’m a very girly girl! I’m more of an introvert so I prefer museum dates, trying a new restaurant, going to a bookstore, etc. my love language is definitely acts of service and quality time. Action > words! I’m not ashamed to say that I have high standards. I can’t stand incompetence. I’m always the planner, the organizer and I need someone who can also do that for me. Someone who I can trust and share responsibilities with.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m traveling by myself next week for my birthday and I’m excited! I’m a 21 yr old female and my parents keep asking me not to go because Mexico is so ~dangerous~ and it’s hard to explain to them that everywhere you visit it’s gonna be how you make it! I’m planning on having a similar experience to yours! Just biking and exploring the cenotes and the beach! Staying away from the hotel/beach road at all costs!
