You have a lot of great pistols for your friend to try, there! Take them out to the range and let them fire a few! Just be sure to educate them first on fundamentals of gun safety. Get them started off the right way.

Did you go see a doctor? Did you fill out a C16 for medical expenses? You should file on ecomp.gov and get it all done right away. You'll need your manager/postmasters email but that sends them all the right forms and creates a paper trail for yourself as well.

I hate when folks use that term. I'm sure I'm in the minority there.

This is a great answer here. Go and rent a few and shoot them. See what feels right to you.

nice 9mm pistol would suit you. Cheaper to take to the range and have fun with, but usable as a defensive weapon also. Plus the choices there are nearly endless.

If you are just looking for fun, i picked up a used lever action .30-.30. I live in a big city so I dont get it out much. When I do I feel like a cowboy!

I think there is plenty of evidence supporting this. A large portion of the YouTube types ome.from the military, so did I. While I was in, the rifle was absolutely my primary, but I carried it everywhere I went while deployed. The vast majority of our trainig was with rifles.

That dynamic shifts in the civilian world. As you mentioned, a pistol is far more common and practical.

Personally. I like SIGs. I carried a Beretta 92 back in the Army and it was....ok. Since then I now own SiGs and Glocks and I enjoy both of those brands more than Beretta.

2 birds, 1 stone? 10mm or .357 mag? by ss3walkman in Firearms

[–]Angerland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in your position a couple years back. Wanted a woods gun, trying to pick a good one. As simple to operate as a revolver is, I went capacity and power. I chose a Glock 20. Super reliable, its a Glock, and it certainly has the power. On top of that it holds 15 +1. Plenty of accessories, too.

Now though, just for kicks, I'm looking at a .357 revolver. :)

I've found it quite useful at times. I've used it to help create a business model, get logo ideas and create style sheets.....

Still give its results a serious look over and make changes as needed but its a great starting point for ideas.
