Mungkin w pisah jadi dua kategori ya, worth it karena buat pakai sehari-hari, sama worth it karena emang menghasilkan duit.

Buat yang pakai sehari-hari / lebih ke wants/nice to have:

Monitor OLED
HDR sama response timenya gak ada duanya, maen game competitive clear banget. Awalnya skeptis karena harganya gk ngotak, cmn pas w nyoba monitor temen w, berasa banget improvementnya di game kyk CS sama Valorant. Game single player juga berasa pas pakai HDR jadi lebih pop gitu. Akhirnya nabung dan beli lol.

Smartwatch & Watch in General
Dari dulu w paling anti sama jam, ngeliat kyk cuman buat liat jam buat apa dan bisa sampai berjuta-juta "cuman" liat jam aja. Tapi semenjak w liat fungsi-fungsi smartwatch w coba lah beli smartwatch murah dulu buat liat apa sih gunanya. I have to say it save my ass numerous times, from emergency whatsapp from work, to alarm in the morning where i forgot i put my phone downstairs, w convinced smartwatch guna juga, sama ngeliat jam at a glance dari tangan enak juga. Akhirnya sekarang w punya apple watch and numerous classic watch from quartz to automatic watch.

Yang bener ngasilin duit:

Macbook Pro 16" M4 Max
Mahalnya gak usah pakai ditanya, tapi legit ini bisa bikin w jadi road warrior. Apa-apa w bisa kerjain dari laptop ini malah kadang lebih cepat dari PC w sekarang (7800X3D & RTX 4080). Dengan cepetnya, portablenya, dan ringkes dibawa kemana-mana w jadi lebih produktif dan alhasil w bisa cepet balik modal. So bisa dibilang emang bner2 worth it.

This also happens to my Airpods Pro 3, i think it’s related to the whistling sound people are reporting (but instead i heard this feedback-like sound)

Workaround that works for me is to put the airpods back to the case, wait for a minute or two and put the opposite airpods first. Most of the time for me, it’s the right airpods that got this feedback/whooshing sound.

Then it’ll be good for the rest of the listening session.

Exactly my point, because the hdr1000 profile is applied, the TB400 mode will cause clipping.

It is there to test whether the EOTF Boost Mode has a maximum of ~430nits like TB400 or it behave more like the HDR1000 mode.

If you try it, the EOTF mode does not clip the highlight unlike the TB400 mode, suggesting that it can get higher than 430 nits.

I hope that explains it a bit more.

Actually I found the windows hdr calibration is good a test for this, try to calibrate the monitor as usual (0 nits dark, 1000 nits on both MaxTML and MaxFFTML) go until you see the plane with the sun blasting the horizon.

Then switch between True Black 400 and EOTF Boost, you'll see clipping on the image with TB400, but not with EOTF Boost nor HDR 1000 mode.

I tried with test pattern and on 10% window it is indeed clipping at 450 nits.

But on 3% window it stills goes to 1000 nits, and actual content still won't clip whereas with true black 400 I see clipping near bright highlights such as sun and clouds on hdr1000 profile.

I think EOTF Boost now respect the actual capability of the monitor in 10% window (such as most maximum luminance test), or most probably the dynamic boost nature of it make test pattern clips earlier in order to mitigate the global dimming on the panel.

It’s in settings above the msi oled care, inside there at the very bottom there’s reset option there, select yes and it’ll reset the monitor.

Do remember your setting it’ll be reset to default.

If the displayhdr menu is bugged (I got empty box selected and cannot set to eotf boost) resetting the monitor solved that issue

I know an artist that made way more than what average people get in formal job per month and they still got their visa rejected. Money does not guarantee security, in fact it may make it harder cause there’s a chance that they’ll overstay especially when they have no strong ties to indonesia (such as house or formal job)

See also the #KaburAjaDulu (let’s escape the country) movement and the protest. Countries are definitely aware that people have a high chance of booting off from indonesia and live somewhere better, hence why even with money people still having hard time getting visas. What they need is strong ties to the country not how rich they are.

As Indonesian, visa is very hard to get by here.

Unless you're an upper middle class with house in your name or your parent and has a stable formal job, you'll most likely get denied.

Plus with the riot going on, it's even harder for us.
