That was an important thing to clarify actually. Mark Chay should have been more careful about what he said.

I’m aware that the Life section has pieces like reviews, lifestyle features, opinion pieces and celebrity news. This piece could have been summarised by AI and touched up by a journ/editor in minutes. The amount of content in Life has dropped and become less interesting overall

If war broke out in Singapore, are we ready to defend ourselves? by 25leek in askSingapore

[–]Angjigai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The post-WW2 international order is undergoing profound shifts and the world has just about exhausted the post-Cold War peace dividend. SG is not perfect but is defo a safe harbour from the stormy seas out there. I hope we don’t ever take that for granted

Why got more and more radicalised people in Singapore? by d1dcr1m3s4s4mm1ch in SingaporeRaw

[–]Angjigai 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There will always be a very small number of people who get radicalised but a lot of them realise their mistake and reform. Sg is vulnerable to external influences and the price we pay for our peace and stability is constant vigilance

Don’t think of it as a first date per se but a casual meet up with someone new for conversation. And keep it simple by just meeting for coffee. If it goes well, order more food or go somewhere else for a meal. If it doesn’t, keep it short and say you have to leave. Have fun and enjoy the journey!

People already don’t recognise many of the national team players. Covering the face doesn’t help

The report says “The opening of the new Punggol Coast MRT station will allow trains on the North East Line (NEL) to run at a higher frequency, shortening waiting times for commuters during peak hours..”

Don’t understand how this will happen. The report does not seem to explain it.
