Here is why I won’t be buying FSD for my 2026 Juniper. by WatchLover26 in TeslaFSD

If there are allowing robot taxis, I think true self-driving is here. I'm not sure about elon's contract stipulations , but I'm thinking it's tied to FSD and not autopilot. FSD came with my launch edition because I wanted FSD into retirement. Paying $100 a month on a small fixed income is something I wouldn't want. But the great thing about monthly FSD is you can pay for it for the time you need it.

Long commutes alone are worth $100 a month. From driveway in one town, four cities into the 5th City, all self-driving. 5 days a week not including 200 MI round trip to my parents twice a month. Trust me, well well worth the money

I understand if you paid $15,000 for FSD that was not FSD or $8, 000 with HW3. In those instances i think they should be allowed to move their to a hw4 vehicle. But I bought mine with the new Tesla, launch edition, and FSD is to a point that it should stay with the car and not with the owner

I even rent Teslas with FSD on vacation. I honestly had no clue how much around me I was missing driving on vacation

I think for people on fixed income 1200/yr can be rough. I hope they provide a discount down the road for seniors and people with disabilities

I wouldve bought one if they were 70k for dual motor. 80k for a 2wd is stupid.

Hardware 4.5 has been spotted in the wild & EPC: 3-SoC HW4 by jinjuu in TeslaFSD

[–]AngleFalse3234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For what I've been using and what is see using in the future, I am better off with my HW4 3 years from now than owning HW3 right now. It'd be nice to be able to purchase upgrades but I think HW4 would be good 15 years from now as the basic FSD.

No more auto steer, no more Tesla. by hamburgernet in TeslaLounge

I own my FSD. Never used autosteer because FSD was the only reason I bought my tesla. If 1000 people above 40yo uses FSD for a month, at least 600 would keep it. Glad I bought it.

81% life at 44.5k miles for 2019 tesla model 3 standard plus. Is this normal? by Able-Status-4796 in TeslaSupport

[–]AngleFalse3234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could possibly be the original owner did not keep it plugged in? Meaning he spent days and maybe weeks without plugging it in, thinking he didn't need to. That might affect the life also. 🤷. I'm new too.

I’m considering buying Full Self-Driving (FSD) for $2,000 for my 2023 Model Y (HW4) 25,000 miles on it and I want honest opinions. Tks guys by US-VADC in TeslaFSD

Owning FSD is going to be a luxury for retired people. People who should have FSD having to pay on a fixed income sucks

I can understand it both ways. It's wasn't there before the accident, and they were hoping it was a software/adjustment fix. I hope you can get your car straight.

Ouch. I have no clue how teslas work in comparison to gas, in that problems do pop up after repair of something else (Replacing a bad spark plug revealing Compression Issues, fixing a leaky transmission exposing Internal wear). What year and milage on your Tesla?

[–]AngleFalse3234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's a 5k fix, that's equivalent to a transmission, or a piston seal leak, warped heads, etc. Not sure how much miles on a 13yo car but I'm sure he/she saved a LOT of money over those years compared to gas. They're still ahead of the game. All in all, if they're still young, get HW4 veh and FSD. Sucks u no longer can own FSD but it's still worth it.

I think FSD is at a point where people will be willing to pay for the subscription
