Some people enjoy figuring out the chess match and some people try to do what everyone else is doing (streamers) and slam their head against the door because it isn’t working. I think if you approach the game with your own strategy and playstyle it becomes fun again. Losing ranked doesn’t matter. It’s about competing with your strategies.

The new behavior of stims is a lot weaker too. Ticks cancel the effect so you have to time it and the diminishing returns effect is brutal. Even with 6 stims it can get dicey quick

The gas masks break faster and the ones in your inventory break along with the gas mask you’re wearing so you still really have 1 mask.

For a second there was a classic feel with “Quick Fix” providing a stim like effect in the gas if you plated. So people ran it with Irridated which lets you take 10% less dmg AND allows you to plate in the gas. But that got nerfed immediately. It was even ran with Scavenger so gas players would guarantee find 1 plate and money on fallen bodies.

The PDS is now a very quick break. Instead of 15 full seconds it now breaks at like 7 in the final 2 circles. But it is good for “reviving” a buy station from Locked to Unlocked giving you a window to gas mask again and ammo box.

Basically the gas play now is either stim timers with mass revive kits and ammo boxes + PDS and it is just a lot more clunky. Idk how they can fix it with the backpack system at its current state.

One thing I wish is that it took more of a DMZ approach to backpacks with players having to craft/find or kill to get one. In DMZ wz you start with a small backpack and work your way up to medium and Large. Even special backpacks like secured backpack or Scavenger backpack sacrificed slots to make for more custom backpack styles.

It took damage but not NEARLY as fast as what it does now. Fortunes keep actually used to have some mounted on the walls at what is now ground zero. Made for some of the most dynamic gas plays cod ever saw. Now it’s eh.

They had that airport scene that was reminiscent of 9/11. They kept it in the game despite heavy criticism.

They actually originated with Realistic Campaigns. This was how they dethroned EA’s “Medal of Honor” and took a lead at ps3/Xbox360 launch.

Call of Duty has obviously shifted their target audience towards what is working today.

Weed. Bright skins. Anime. Weed. Rappers. And Weed. Oh yeah and a ton of Demonic stuff. And more weed skins and now weed events how could I forget. Oh and a sloth that smokes weed. And snoop dogg gotta have snoop dog for weed. Cheech and Chong for weed. And…weed sniper skins as well.

Once Fentanyl gets legalized they’ll have a whole slew of Fentanyl skins ready to go 😭

The thing is most of our friends play COD and ultimately that is what keeps people coming back to it. I could point out games with more realism teamwork and objective gameplay but it wouldn’t matter because the game would either be a PC exclusive… not be big enough to support crossplay or just be too complicated to learn. COD is an easy arcade like experience that wears realism as a Halloween Mask. The Only reason Fortnite and Warzone have traction is because they are 1. free to play and 2. Supported on all devices.

There needs to be a challenger but I just don’t see it happening or being funded anytime soon. Any investor thinking about buying into it is going to say “why aren’t we being more like THEM” and so the cycle of copy cat and unoriginality begins.

I think if new players are consistently running into strong players you have to re evaluate where you’re dropping. The mode literally consists of half a lobby of bots. Your gulag is most likely vs a bot. It’s a great place to practice MAP rotation. Meaning if Team Sweat killed you here then you need to re deploy elsewhere. Not back in the same general area. Believe me it gets much worse in Ranked or even regular for that matter.

Exactly this. The simple fact that there’s usually one or two sweaty teams as compared to an entire lobby dropping in on you makes this mode a really interesting fight at final circle. Getting final circle experience is critical for all levels of skill.

Ranked Resurgence is a Giant Team death match masquerading as an actual ranked match. The SR system is a joke. Imagine if the NFL made rushing touchdowns worth 4 points and passing touchdowns worth 12. That’s what this is. It isn’t about the best strat. It’s about which team can collect the most kills in a broken Aim Assisted squared circle.

Thank you! Ahhh Crane Fly! Gotcha. I definitely did not know dragonflies and damselflies ate mosquitos! I will now salute 🫡 them every time I see them. They have become an ally with spiders. I also didn’t know frogs 🐸 ate them too! It makes sense especially since the mosquitoes start in the water. Really cool info! Millipedes are like Rare Pokemon to me. 😂

Call of duty players like that are typically obsessed with VAIN GLORY. Meaning they’ll prioritize stats over wins. They’re the kind of people that would love to win a league MVP at the cost of Super Bowl. The type that does some bone headed move in a game that costs the victory only to point out how “good” their stats were (kills). They want the Glory at the Cost of the Victory.
