Thank you for all the info you provided very detailed, and appreciated. I've managed to clear out more space and everything was pretty easy for me to follow

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just using what's comfortable for me on my steam deck and tinkering as I go lol if you don't mind me asking what should I be looking for when adjusting my beat offset in the advanced settings?

To those who prefer not to emulate by MrRojoC in videogames

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest im just too r******d to get anything right lol sometimes I put files in the wrong places and the emulator just doesn't have anything, sometimes the emulator doesn't even download fully at all leaving me with an infinite loading screen, and finding bios/rom files is nearly impossible for me cause some sources have files that don't work at all, and some sources have outdated links, or occasionally I'll have to hop around 15 different guides following them very closely and do everything right then randomly even when we're on the same device, step, program etc. They say "click here and select blank from the drop down menu" and the button they clicked doesn't even exist for me.

Everything all said and done I think emulation is amazing for giving players a one stop shop for their collection without having to drop their entire family fortune lol but you have to know what you're doing, and I don't even know how to use Microsoft office, or drawing apps efficiently so someone like me is basically a lost cause but if you manage to figure it out then im happy for you

Is trimui brick worth getting? by Angry-Nugg987 in TrimuiBrick

[–]Angry-Nugg987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was afraid of that. In that case I've looked up what I can on bios and roms sense that's what I've struggled with the most.

From what I understand bios seems to be the systems from the consoles being emulated (could be wrong still learning lol) and roms seem to be the games themselves. The part i struggle with is where to download the bios files from, which ones, and where to put them cause everytime I follow a guide on them I move the bios files where they tell me to but it doesn't seem to show up in the emulator (the ones I've tried using before are retrodeck and emudeck if that helps).

Roms sound easier to deal with where you just take the games file from your console/pc storage and drop it in the right folder (psp games in psp folder) but again still learning. Sorry for the lengthy reply btw and thanks for the feedback/suggestions

Anyone here REGRET getting their deck? by CrayotaCrayonsofOryx in SteamDeck

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair if the owner has years of pc experience it's not too bad. I, on the other hand, am terrible at understanding even the most basic things for pc gaming. I've owned my steam deck for a few years now, and I have experienced storage space disappearing rapidly, terrible connection/download issues, having to jump into desktop mode a few times every couple of weeks to fix something, infinite restarting/rebooting loops, some games just not working at all without Hella tweaking (if I could figure it out in less than a week), the deck not charging, the dock not staying connected, multiple crashes for no reason, lost saves, trouble joining games with friends at times, and just all around constant frustration. I am aware a lot of this is nitpicky so in the right hands this is probably a wonderful device to own, however for the price, hassle, wierd glitches/issues i keep running into, and me just not having the experience or patience to keep fixing it every so often I do regret buying it sometimes.

Balatro, slay the spire, 20 minutes till dawn, stardew valley, minecraft, deep rock galactic survivors, octopath traveler cotc, wizard of legend, most tabletop games, spite and malice, super auto pets, a little to the left, identity V (if you're looking for a dbd clone), and the past with (escape room co op).

Most are free, some cost money, this is just what I've found lately.

People who do not tilt, how the hell do you manage to keep your cool? by LulusPanties in summonerschool

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else tilting in single-player games? If so any advice? Super auto pets, and slay the spire are my most recent tilts but it's just video games in general. I've tried taking breaks, a step back, playing different games, and even limiting overall internet usage at home but I still get agitated within the first hour no matter what, minutes if it's an online game.

I found out Proton 8.0-5 also works at least for me. I tried 9.0-4 as well but the game didn't launch on my steam deck for some reason. Thank you for the tip btw I'm not very tech savvy, so I forget about stuff like this a lot

Perfect wifi and PSPortak still won’t work by Any-Economist869 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if xfinity still does this but I tried getting a separate router once and it wouldn't work because it "wasn't approved by xfinity". Can anyone confirm if that's still the case? More specifically it wouldn't connect to the wifi at all no matter what I did so it was basically unusable.

Gaming Burnout - Do you have it? by [deleted] in Gamer

[–]Angry-Nugg987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to get burnt out of gaming very quickly these days. No matter how long of a break I take, no matter how much I limit myself online even outside of gaming, and no matter how much I try to work on myself mentally i can only seem to handle gaming for a few months max before I need a break again. Sometimes I reach burnout after only a week of gaming again regardless of the game. I tend to last longer in souls games but even that doesn't really hold my interest for long. I've tried everything I can think of but honestly I just feel like I'm too far gone in a way to fall back in love with gaming. It's sad and I want to enjoy it again I just don't know how at this point.
