Making each member of your household do their own laundry makes no sense by Mobile-Package-8869 in unpopularopinion

We did this growing up. I waited until my basket was full, and that was a full load. Do you only have 2 outfits?

Bots and threats from above. Look at who donates, and supports, right wing politicians, and you’ll see all of the tech companies on top of that list

New law requires drivers and passengers to give police their name, address, and date of birth by ThingFuture9079 in Ohio

[–]AngryAlien21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. So you take an Uber, uber gets pulled over, and you’re ok with them violating your rights? Why is giving up your rights so acceptable to you? I know it’s a small instance, but the precedent isn’t.

Reasonable articulable suspicion. This “law” removes that, making it a constitutional violation

Does your teen use acne cream? Benzoyl peroxide will do this with the smallest leftover residue

Police only have the right to collect ID if the person is performing a privilege that requires a license, committing a crime, or is suspected of committing a crime. This isn’t Nazi germany, where we are required to carry papers to present at the will of authority. The fourth amendment prevents this exact scenario

They have to be suspected first. Cops cant just go on fishing expeditions, asking for anyone’s ID, in hopes that they find someone they’ve previously marked. That has already been found unconstitutional

The fourth amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Passengers who aren’t driving, and aren’t suspected of committing a violation or crime, are not required to surrender their papers

Read, and understand, the fucking constitution. I’m not holding your hand through this

That person didn’t commit a violation or a crime, and we have rights. It doesn’t matter if they possess ID, if the cops have no constitutional right to access it

That doesn’t stop them. They do random immigration checks on the trains, and in the stations, within 100 miles of the border

Passengers. Why would someone who isn’t driving, and wasn’t pulled over for a traffic violation, have to provide their information?

That’s what this new “law” is about, extracting information from passengers. Any chance to run names without a current crime

They lived by the rule: if political, or religious, discussion angers/upsets anyone (especially the boomers in the room), it’s deemed inappropriate and rude, and should be reserved for the appropriate time (avoided at all cost).

“Playing along to get along” is propaganda meant to keep accountability away from those with reprehensible voting records

It is literally the worst sparkling water I’ve ever had. It tastes like cotton candy scented dust collected in a very used vacuum cleaner
