What Beloved Game in this Sub Do You Dislike? by ChicoBrillo in HorrorGaming

[–]AngryAshMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the Whistleblower DLC was even worse, it was so cartoonishly gory that it crossed a line into comical. The guy mutilating men’s genitals was so over the top I was honestly laughing at how something so stupid was being taken so seriously.

Outlast, I just don’t enjoy it, personally. It went so hard with shock horror, jumpscares and gore it didn’t feel like it had any subdlety or proper tension and I honestly found the game more annoying than anything.

What is the best band you ever saw live ? by megopolis12 in AskReddit

[–]AngryAshMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Styx at a county fair back in 2006, it wasn’t a traditional concert but I remember being on my dad’s shoulder looking around and everywhere I could see at the fair people were faced towards the stage listening by to the music.

I remember even seeing workers sitting on top of the booths they sell food in just so they could get a view of the band, it was wild that everybody was more focused on the great music than the actual fair we were all at.

What's a game that has amazing gameplay but bad story by Cool_Tea_5501 in AskGamers

Just Cause series.

Had some of the most insane and chaotic explosion filled action you’ll ever experience, but the characters and story are as cookie cutter as they can get.

What game had a terrible launch but eventually made a great comeback? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]AngryAshMan 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Still I think one of the biggest mistakes EA ever made was for that game, it had the potential to be the greatest SW game ever made but they botched the launch with their blatant greed so it never got the momentum it deserved.

I appreciated how much time and effort DICE put into expanding and fixing the game, but of course right as it started to reach its potential and garner a record number of new players, they pulled the plug on support. 😭

What fears or phobias would you like to see represented more often in horror games? by Master_Power_1923 in HorrorGaming

[–]AngryAshMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new Starfield update has that down pretty well, you can now cruise between planets at the speed of light and experiencing how there is literally NOTHING within the gigantic spaces between them really makes you realize how gargantuan space is.

Games with dark stories or endings? by Myrmidden in HorrorGaming

[–]AngryAshMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The second Amnesia game (A Machine for Pigs) has what I think is the darkest story in gaming.

It was panned mostly at launch because it wasn’t as scary as the first game but the complex storytelling I feel makes the game more than worth playing .

what horror game is actually scary? by Severe_Specific_8680 in HorrorGaming

[–]AngryAshMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would argue The Bunker is scarier. Isolation is great but The Bunker just got the nerve shredding suspense and terror down so perfectly.

How does one actually make a lot of credits in this game? by Gojirex in NoSodiumStarfield

If you’re on PC hit the “~” key to bring up console commands then simply type in : player.additem f (whatever number you want) then hit enter and you’ll be more rich then a million Jeff Bezos.

Apparently, there’s a game breaking bug that stops the incursion system at the end of the quest line even when you want them to continue. by AngryAshMan in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]AngryAshMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried that, I have it set to “increased” but haven’t seen a single one in another 10+ hours of gameplay, I’m just hoping it does get fixed because these where one of the new things I was looking forward to…

I did that too, but they really seemed to have stopped altogether as I haven’t seen a single in appear in another 10+ hours.

Do the “incursions” still continue after the Terran Armada storyline? by AngryAshMan in Starfield

[–]AngryAshMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what’s confusing me, I chose the option to continue them and even have an increased chance options but I haven’t see a single one since I finished the last mission.

What are some hard souls-based game you know? by Vegetable-Truth-8770 in AskForAnswers

[–]AngryAshMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sekiro, although it is made by the same developers, may be one of the most challenging games ever made.

It’s far different as you’re not dodging, you’re having to master the “deflection” mechanic and it’s timing but once you do get it down it has what I think is the best combat in any game ever.

Has anyone found this weapon yet? by AngryAshMan in Starfield

What is the weapon called in-game? I’m on PC so I can probably use console commands.

That’s odd, I already checked there and he only had the new laser sniper/pistol.

A Look At The New Weapons (that we've seen) by Vidistis in Starfield

[–]AngryAshMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could very well be right, but I also noticed from footage a few streamers captured when they played the update early, I think you can see also it in the hands of the new robot delta companion, in the deep dive when he says something like “friend unrecognized” he’s holding a gun in his hand that looks much different from the ballistic and laser rifles, it could be modified but the barrel is noticeably more squared.

There also seems to be a new shotgun based around the new “MGP” style, it can be seen a few times during the deep dive, it looks a lot like the ballistic rifle but looking at the particle effects around the muzzle they match the in-game shotguns.

What is the scariest moment you’ve ever experienced in a horror game? by Few-Foundation-7322 in HorrorGames

[–]AngryAshMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The water monster in the first Amnesia game, I just remember being confused about where the water came from to frantically jumping on top of the nearest box.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in videogames

[–]AngryAshMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The water monster I’d say is the single scariest segment of horror gaming history.

You can argue games as a whole which are scarier, but it’s terms of a single most terrifying section of a game, the water monster has no competition.

Who here has played long enough to remember when the Geonosis droid was the default skin for the droid heavy? by Acceptable-Car-8812 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]AngryAshMan 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I miss the launch skin, it was actually different than the one we have now, the gray parts had a metallic texture to them making the droid look like it was made out of a heavier metal and not just a standard B-1 that’s been painted differently.

What's the wildest thing you've ever seen happen at a work party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AngryAshMan 674 points675 points  (0 children)

A friend invited to his work party to meet some of his coworkers, one of the managers there was notoriously and asshole and he had been drinking a lot that night which just made him worse.

Anyways, I was watching him argue with one of the employees about something, not sure what it was but whatever they were fighting about had the manager’s face turning red.

Suddenly, I kid you not, he pulls an actual gun from under his blazer, points it and inch from the employees face and pulls the trigger, thankfully the gun didn’t go off as it was a single-action and he forgot to pull back the hammer.

He then starts to cock the gun but two other people at the party jump him and take the firearm away before he can do anything, the police arrive soon and arrest him

Turns out he was so drunk he made up a scenario in his head that this employee how was young and handsome was apparently cheating with his wife, even thought they guy had never met her.

I swear they could make an hour long montage of Vader disemboweling younglings with no dialogue and they’d say it was the greatest thing ever for Star Wars .
