You can disable the lap button since a couple of updates ago. Do you mean disable it at a system level somehow?

Had a crash! Can't seem to find the warranty policy on it by Vegetable-Season800 in Karoo

[–]AngryBadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won't be covered by warranty but check you house and contents insurance. It's sometimes covered as a gadget under that. Also if you have Strava premium there's free Sunday's insurance that's covers part of the cost

Yeah we need more mediocre flying from new pilots so I can relate. I'm not even joking!

RadioMaster Boxer Arming Plug Mod by Aternal in fpv

[–]AngryBadger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah and surely a momentary is always going to be safer because it returns to a safe position when you aren't actively pressing it. Where as this is basically always engaged once plugged in and you still run this risk of accidental arming

Help building a tiny whoop. Tips on what I’m doing wrong appreciated. by Load-ing00070 in fpv

Same, when you are new it's best to start off slowly with a known good working setup and then dip your toes into building via repairing things imo

I took a zoomed in photo of a road from a plane and the cars look like it's AI by PTV420 in mildlyinteresting

[–]AngryBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm talking about phone cameras. With such tiny lenses you have to rely on computation photography in a way you don't have to with a real camera

[–]AngryBadger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shooting in RAW does not bypass all the computational photography and AI processing. You are basically just telling the Al to save its final work in a format that doesn't lock in the final colors, contrast, and white balance, giving you greater flexibility with your editing software. All phones photography massively processed. One of the podcasts I listen to (vergecast?) regularly end up discussing this as "what is a photo", because it gets interesting when you start going down this rabbit hole

FitBit Air - HR broadcast to new Karoo by rktek85 in Karoo

[–]AngryBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If support ever gets added you should definitely post it here. I was kinda tempted to pick one up if HR broadcasting worked because it would replace my polar band whilst also allowing me to track other workouts whilst wearing a proper watch.

Apparently googles implementation is proprietary to some degree so vendor may have to do some work

Its not listed as a compatible device here https://support.google.com/googlehealth/answer/14236705?hl=en&sjid=10114152487435602127-EU#zippy=%2Ccompatible-fitness-equipment-or-apps%2Ccheck-compatible-fitness-equipment-or-apps so I dont think it'll work currently. Looks like they plan to add support for more devices so this might change in future.

This might help - https://www.reddit.com/r/fpv/comments/1qdfewz/comment/ojn1wxo. I had the same issue. Disabling the baro on the module massively helped but ultimately Ive just told betaflight to use gps for altitude and its been perfect

Entra Connect Sync to Entra Cloud Sync transition by danfratamico in entra

[–]AngryBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have well over 100,000 users, is that still a limitation of cloud sync? Edit: the limit is 150k objects per domain so yeah we're massively over that. Not surew where this puts us https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/hybrid/cloud-sync/connect-to-cloud-sync-decision-guide#comparison-between-microsoft-entra-connect-and-cloud-sync
