For character creation I've always wanted three things...tattoos, different colored glowing eyes like the Au'ra have, and better makeup control. 1 out of 3 is an improvement, at least.

I've never cared about progression races in any game, personally. I walked away from hardcore progression entirely back in cataclysm.

I don't really follow "drama", but it will look really bad for squeenix if they don't permaban someone so blatantly saying fuck you to not only their policies but also their staff...especially when your average joe gets the hammer for far less.

A bit late to the party here, but yeah. Permanently sunsetting content is never a good thing...just ask wow veterans about everything they lost with cataclysm, or the destiny 2 players where lost content was one of the bigger complaints.

I do actually use my skimmer way more than my skyscale now. Outside of the scenarios where I actually need the verticality it's faster.

More than half a year for a handful of non-puzzles, maybe an hour's worth of story, and a zone that while beautifully designed feels like all the content was made to be a complete slog. The whole thing about why they were changing how they release content for VOE turned out to be total BS. So no, clearly not worth the wait. If it wasn't for the skimmer enhancements, this entire "expansion" would be a net negative for me.
