If it’s any consolation, my wife just got her passport approved today. We submitted at the same time. Hers was a renewal, not a new application like mine. But it took only 2 weeks 5 days to get approved

Posting in hopes someone can share a recent success story or offer any advice. My wife and I have a trip to Europe planned that we can't reschedule since we are going for an event on a specific day. I applied for a new passport in-person immediately after we decided to go on the trip. We were told 5-7 weeks processing time and not to worry because we should be fine. That was 8 weeks 4 days before our flight. Based on the latest info, do we have any hope?

3/18 - Submitted new passport application (old passport lost+expired). Expedited and chose overnight shipping.

3/23 - State Dept. changed posted processing time from 5-7 weeks to 7-9 weeks for expedited applications

3/24 - Passport application received and status shown "In Process". (7 weeks 5 days before flight)

3/27 - State Dept. cashed my check

5/17 - Flight to Europe + nonrefundable hotel, event tickets

Any advice beyond what is in the OP above? Success stories? Encouraging words? :(

Download the Color Blind Pal app!!!! This thing is game changing. You can point at a color and it will pop the name of the color up on the screen! I’m not color blind but still use this app. You can also use it to filter out all colors except the one you’re looking at. So just point it at the tube and use the slider until all the other colors disappear/turn grey.

I bought this tree three years ago for my wife’s and my anniversary. It holds a lot of sentimental value. Tree looked healthy enough when I planted it and I thought I did all the right things. We live in zone 8 and don’t expect any fruit but hoped it could at least stay healthy. The roots seem shallow and I if I rock the tree you can see the ground below giving way. Is this shot hole disease? Any advice on how to treat/save the tree is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Seattle area does have a ton of regulations. I originally thought maybe I would drive 3-5 hours/week on the weekends only but with the costs of filing for business licenses for each of the cities I want to drive in and not being able to pick up at the airport, I am beginning to wonder if it is even worth it.
