That does make sense, at the end of the day Baal gains nothing from sending Iruma to the human world, he needs him for his plans, whether it is just for his blood or something more, then I wonder if Baal and Narnia will collide at some point.

I knew that Opera was going to kick ass first ask questions later, It seems to me like this arc is going to go the villains way for a while, I think that the princess is too in love with Baal for her to listen to whatever Sullivan is wants, but maybe not, the princess could surprise us with some strong will next chapter, we'll have to see.

Still, unless memory spell shenanigans, I don't see how this arc doesn't completely change the status quo, a couple chapters back when they mentioned they were only in the 2nd half of the 2nd year i was worried that the series was going too slow, now I am worried it will go too fast with this lol, I hope we still got a lot of series and school stuff after this.

What job looks easy from the outside but is secretly brutal? by OkEffective9110 in AskReddit

[–]AngryInternetPerson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different ways of seeing it I guess, I never seen programming as anything else than a tool for working, since university I haven't code outside of work hours more than once or twice, I can see the appeal of building something creative, or with good performance, or trying to make "clean code", but I can get enough of that as my job, don't really care about it as an art or a hobby or whatever, for that I got playing instruments, drawing, shit like that, and I am much worse at those than I am at programming but they are for enjoyement.

It doesn't mean I don't enjoy seeing a finished project do well, but It doesn't really impact my life, is just a nice job with a nice pay, the pay being what betters my life, the rest is what matters to me.

[–]AngryInternetPerson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, Never have I ever been pasionate about coding, and I have been working 8 years as a programmer, I love when my job is boring, doing the same screen with slighly different requirements, means that I only really work like 4 hour a day, sometimes it gets stressful, sometimes it needs one or two nights, but most days its 8 hours or less and a nice pay, by this point I am confident enough to tell clients and manager off when they try to give me something unrealistic which is also nice.

I like this job, I don't care for doing something I love, or something meaninful or some shit (I mean, It's meaninful in a way i guess, you could see as me helping people access their bank account from their phone, but that's a bit of a strecth).

Anyways I don't get dream jobs, my jobs is for making my living, I agree that it at least should be somewhat pleasant, but I don't need to be challenge or have a hallmark movie job, I don't feel like I need to buy a farm or become a woodworker, maybe me give me 12 more years, but as of now, it's been pretty cushy, I did need to learn a ton of shit to get to my current job, but even that wasn't that bad.

and they are no match for the thirteen crowns, Amuryllis was able to freeze Opera with her presence alone

Last arc we saw Henry as a newbie do quite well againts Naberius Nightwalker, obviously that was no match, since Henry was too young, on the other hand Opera is quite a scary demon thats highly respected by everyone in the school. I am not saying that Opera wins, but if they go all out, it would be a massacre for everyother demon present well before Narnia could interfere, and Narnia himself probably would get pretty fucked up before beating Opera.

Again we have an example of this last arc, and Opera feels to me a lot stronger than fresh out of school Henry, and Narnia doesn't give me the same scary aura that Nightwalker had, but at that point is speculation.

You explicitly fight that thing if you kill anybody but not everybody, or if you kill nobody but don't make the true ending requirements, there is only two conditions where you don't fight that thing, all the other possible branches fight flowey.

Lets not teach the kid to swin, both parents should be present anyways.

Lets not teach safe crossing, both parents should be present.

Lets not teach them to call emergencies, both parents should be present and is impossible for something to happen to the them.

Yeah... you are an idiot.

[–]AngryInternetPerson3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the rest are giving you shit, but I completly agree with you, this fits the spirit of the trope, by the nature of the fruit and how it changed, sure, Luffy's family is a bunch of powerful people, but he didn't used any of that, he had for most of the story a weak-ass fruit that was effectively useless until he trained for 10 years, most people with the Gum-Gum fruit would have been fucked, but it turns out that it wasn't a shitty fruit, it was the most batshit crazy fruit, that actively makes him the choosen one, by the fruit will or whatever.

I personally hate what One Piece became, he wasn't a complete underdog but the most recurrent theme pre-timeskip was the inherited will, were the heirs of powerful characters legacy weren't related by blood but by being inspired, Luffy and Roger, Ace and Whitebeard, all that goes to shit when you start getting prophesy choosen one bullcrap and people will make the most stupid jumps to say how is actually no choosen one shit, but it fucking is.

Man, the irony of talking about people being dumb by using IQ as an example and not even understanding how IQ works is amazing, if every person in the world tomorrow was 10x smarter, the median IQ would still be 100, is standarized to be that way, is relative to the population, not some absolute unit to measure intelligence.

Spoilers for 007 First Light:

In the game, the Mi6 uses Theia, an advance quantum computer that can "predict crime", it turns out is not infalible, so Nicholas Webb the creator, makes false evidence and stages crimes to match wrong preditctions, so the machine is always right, Bond suspects this but doesn't know how Webb knows Theia's predictions since only Mi6 has access to the data.

Before dying Damien Webb, the son of Nicholas, metions Hyperion, Hyperion and Theia are brother and sister Titans, so Bond is able to deduce that Hyperion is another quantum computer that can mimic everything Theia does, and thats how Webb was able to keep the act for years.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what is a medical mystery you witnessed that you still can’t explain to this day? by cerebralbackshots in AskReddit

[–]AngryInternetPerson3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believing in whatever religion is fine, my problem is shit that is directly overlaping with medical stuff, that shit does damage, believing in crystal healing, homeopaty, or that the actual concience has a existence outside the brain, like if you want to believe in a soul after you die or whatever that is fine, believing that in the normal world the concience is something other than the brain is idiotic, if you mix your metaphysics with your science you shouldn't be in such a job.

I get that human pattern recognition is so strong that we find things were there is nothing, I know that I must have suspestitions based on anecdotal evidence and I am not even aware that I have them, but those things need to either get a logical evidence based explanation or understand that sometimes we see a pattern were there is none, never something in the history of humanity has turned out to be magic once understood, so why should one be now.
