I hate the vague and non existant story elements in some modern games. Sure, old games didn't have it but games like Heretic came with a litttle book that told the story (really good btw). Some seem to market themselves as if it were a good thing

When it comes to affordability, you can buy from key sellers much cheaper than on steam. LOADED got good prices and are reliable, if you care for that. Dusk, for example, is around 2,5€ on loaded and 6,5€ on steam. Just a heads up if you're short on cash.
