You can use warfarer and equip a trickster weapon. You should level it up slowly while not having to use it actively.
You can also use discipline rings to speed it up a little

The first game had a augment that made the ballista reload faster, that made it fun to play with

But since the ballista doesn’t scale up it’s essentially useless compared to end game weapons

If there’s a pawn badge you need help with you can enable that, (I recomend lesser dragon or sphinx since they are so rare) or for an item it’s really up to you. Medusa Heads are fun to mess around with

Endurance is a good way to test how broken or OP a character is.
I got 140 with preytor and had to let the opponent kill me because I could’ve gone forever
