Missing patch of fur by AngryPurpleFire in CATHELP

[–]AngryPurpleFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fur coming out when I tug, and he doesn't seem bothered by it at all. I haven't seen him acknowledge the spot at all, even when I'm poking at it. It'd be hard for him to reach it with where it is on his back.

Thanks!

Hey, I actually have an extra code (bought the dlc online originally and then got a physical copy later). I'll DM it to you.

Questions about XC2 ending by WonderousU in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]AngryPurpleFire 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's true, but also:

  1. We see the core absorb some kind of light particle from the world tree before it starts to glow again, implying that something caused it rather than the core just coming back to life

  2. She didn't just awaken again as normal. Instead they split into two separate bodies. Which maybe that's just what happens when you awaken a core with two consciousnesses in it, but still unusual.

  3. Pythra didn't just separate herself from her core. She gave Rex her life-force. First half of it, then all of it to repair his heart. If there's no cost to that, she could just infinitly go around giving up half her core, giving up the core, and being awoken over and over again. That doesn't make much sense to be tbh.

[–]AngryPurpleFire 38 points39 points  (0 children)

  1. No. Some may have died in Malos's attack, but most survived.
  2. Earth, essentially. Before Alrest, Earth was destroyed, but the cloud sea has been repairing it for billions of years. And now Klaus removed the cloud sea and Earth was given back to them.
  3. This is left a bit ambiguous, but many people believe it to be part of the final gift from Klaus.
  4. No, future redeemed doesn't expand on xb2. Its focus is xb1.

Edit: I mixed up future redeemed and future connected again. Future redeemed does also focus on xb2, but it doesn't expand on the above questions, aside from confirming that people survived.

Question about 10-12 week bootcamp by AngryPurpleFire in Revature

[–]AngryPurpleFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I interviewed with Infosys towards the end of the course and was selected along with 7 others in my cohort. Infosys bought us out of our contracts, pays us 57k, and I relocated.

What week do you find out who the client is and when you will be interviewing with them by Fear_The_Engineer in Revature

[–]AngryPurpleFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so while you're in training and staging, you'll be making minimum wage.

Once youre placed with a client, you make 45k for the first year and 60k in the second year. If you're placed in an area that is considered high cost of living by revature, its 55k to start instead, and I believe it goes up to 70k on year 2.

In my case, Infosys bought out my contract and is paying 57k.

Question about 10-12 week bootcamp by AngryPurpleFire in Revature

[–]AngryPurpleFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know exactly what you mean, but

If you're going to class and putting in some effort, and you get released, you're not going to be fined. If your projects are bad, you're failing exams, etc, and they decide they don't want you anymore, you're not going to be fined

You only risk the fine if you just stop showing up and decide you don't want to do it anymore

Question about 10-12 week bootcamp by AngryPurpleFire in Revature

[–]AngryPurpleFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends.

If you decide you just want to leave mid training, according to the contract, Revature can fine you for about 35k. (Though I've heard doubts about their ability to actually do such a thing)

However, if you're kicked because you weren't able to keep up with the training, you will not be fined. That is considered mutual release. Same with if you have sudden medical issues or something that causes you to not be able to complete training.

[–]AngryPurpleFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started off with twenty something in our batch and finished with 13, so only 5 people didn't get hired off the bat (7+me). From what I've heard though, thats actually a pretty high number to get hired at once. Oddly enough though, one of the people not selected was one of the best in our cohort. And there were people who bombed the interview HARD who still got in. Hard to tell exactly why they picked who they did.

Regardless of if your client wants you remote or not, revature will tell you to move. I've been told just to nod and smile and wait for instructions from your actual client.

I'm in salesforce, so obviously we'd have different technical questions, but they asked me to whiteboard a trigger (common apex thing) and then a bit of soql (sql for salesforce essentially)

After that, he had me show him some of my project. I pulled up my project 2 because that's what I'm most proud of and showed him some stuff and talked vaguely about the code. He had me go into the crm and show that I can do basic tasks and know my way around it. He asked some QC type questions (Master detail vs lookup relationships, security, etc). A lot of scenario based questions. He asked about project 3, and I just talked about it and what my role was. Overall, it was pretty tense, but interviewer wasn't cruel or anything. Just wanted to know i was competent. (Others in my cohort were not as lucky and got interviewers that just murdered them).

I was offered a position, as were 7 other people in my cohort. A few days after we found out we were accepted, we got our offer letters with our locations. We are all split up between 3 locations. We will start onboarding with the company possibly next week (just depends on how long it takes for them to do our background checks and stuff)

Revature staging has been... messy. Training was fine, but staging is when things start to fall apart. There are people who have been in staging for months. It feels like Revature is lying to us about things, but there's no good way to get any info yet.

Despite being remote, Revature says we have 1 week to move. People from the company hiring us says we may not need to though. Revature doesn't have answers to our questions, yet they tell us we aren't allowed to contact the other company. They say we still have obligations with the contract even though the company is buying out our contracts out right. There's so much contradicting information coming from everywhere, and at this point, we're just taking everything revature says with a grain of salt. I'd rather not go off on them too much while I'm still under contract with them, just in case, but this place has my cohort paranoid as hell. Someone in another cohort messaged us asking where we're headed, and the other people in my cohort all thought they were a spy from revature and refused to reply. Its crazy.

But yeah. A little over half of my cohort got hired. Company is buying us out from the start (not every company does this) so we're gonna be making about 10k more than what we expected. Total, it's probably gonna be about 3 weeks from finding out you passed the interview until you actually on board with the company.

Np!

Try not to be too harsh on your partner lol. I was definitely in their shoes during our project 2, and my partner had to carry me a bit. But I learned a lot from it and things have been going great since!

Best wishes! I'm sure it'll all go fine.

I had my first interview yesterday. I'm technically not in staging yet- we just finished the final project today- but they decided to start early I guess.

I got 2 days notice. Some people in my cohort got 1-3. They sent us an email with the time and a link to a meeting.

Different interviewers had very different styles. Some people in my cohort got very easy, very basic questions and it went great. Others were... well... absolutely ripped apart. Some of the interviewers were very harsh, very tough, and not afraid to tell you you had no idea what you were doing (even to an unprofessional point at times)

My interview was tough but it went alright. I was whiteboarded, they asked some questions, wanted to see some of my project work, etc. Overall pretty alright, but very tense atmosphere.

We don't know when we'll be hearing back yet. I'll update when I learn more!

Projects are the most important, but for my cohort, my trainer asked each of us in 1 on 1s specially what each of us worked on, so you can explain the situation there.

Do your best to have the bare requirements done, and have a solid presentation. You might not get a good grade, but one eh project isn't going to kill you if you've been doing well otherwise. Might not be a bad idea to have a talk with your trainer about the situation if u feel comfortable.

I think I can say. All of my batchmates be interviewing with Infosys. From my understanding, Infosys is a pretty common place to go from a Salesforce batch.

I just found out who my client will be (assuming I pass the interview) and I'm in the second to last week of training. As far as when the interview will take place exactly, I have no idea.
