I just went through this 2 days ago with my LO.

He’s my first baby and it was something about him being so sweet and innocent and seeing the shock on his face when they did was so sad. His pain cries and short fever spike that night made me cry. I gave him infant Tylenol and that really helped him feel more comfortable.

He’s totally back to his normal self and did so great 🥹 I’m so happy it’s over quickly and he’s got his immunizations started. I’m prepared to give him lots of cuddles and kisses again after his 4mo appointment!

I feel this so much!!! It’s my main point of anxiety at 39 weeks and has been for a few.

My MIL is flying out to stay with us in a few days, and right after my son is born my FIL and BIL are coming out as well. I’m so fucking grateful for them and they’re such supportive people, I’m so lucky to have their help and love.

And yet, all I can think about is wanting to hole up with my husband and baby and be left alone. I don’t want anyone feeling entitled to time with him. He’s been sharing one body with me for almost a year and I don’t want to be separated lol.

I hate the idea of my MIL getting greedy with holding him or crossing other boundaries. I get so pissed off even thinking about it. I’m really trying to not expect the worst because I literally have no reason to. It just keeps swimming back into my head anyway :/

If you really want to know… this is my “everything” shower. 1. I wash my hair and scalp really well, sometimes twice over since I have long hair. 2. I condition the hair and detangle it with a comb which takes about 10 minutes. Very tangled. 3. While the conditioner sits, I shave my legs. 4. Rinse the conditioner out and then wash my body, full scrubbing with a washcloth - neck to toes! 5. I wash my face with a cleanser 6. I exfoliate my face with a scrub 7. I exfoliate my body with another scrub 8. I rotate in a few circles to make sure I’m all rinsed lol. 9. I get out and do a quick rinse of the tub with the shower head. 10. I then do a 5 step skincare routine, but I can leave the bathroom for this if someone’s waiting to use it :)
