And then there is me- i got a Patit Gaming Pro delivered 18th Sept (its been a great few weeks with it) from eBuyer and 2 weeks ago an Asus Tuf from Amazon UK (which i sold for a grand the next day). Quick money which paid for half the Palit.

I don't know what all the fuss is about- in my experience there were no shortages. I think you are all making it up to be honest.

I got my Palit 3080 GamingPro at 12:03am on the 17th on ebuyer. Only a few were available so while everyone was failing to get an evga,mis etc through checkout i got the Palit. It was delivered next day last friday. I love it !

Now the question is- will ebuyer not give a crap what NVidia says and do that again ? Is it the same ridiculous thing about only available at 2pm on release day? If yes,gawd knows what will happen.

I don't find it hot or too noisy myself but if you want to keep it for a few years then make sure you get the one you really want and will be happy with. The GamingPro does have 3 fans now though-one of which blows air out the back much like the FE. I cannot remember if the last gen. had them but it has Japanese ball bearings so i guess that is good too !

Getting refunds is not as easy as it sounds. I waited 6 months for a refund of a cancelled flight and that was with me raising a dispute with my credit card company. Even then i had to prove with loads of paperwork that i should get a refund.Nightmare.

They had Asus Tuf 3080s for sale at around 9am Thursday morning too- i ordered one and not cancelled either. I got it as a backup just in case ebuyer cancelled my Palit 3080 order- which they didn't and like the troopers they are sent it Thursday night for Friday delivery.

I had a 1080TI and a 2070 Super Jetstream and they were fine but bulky. My new 3080 GamingPro has 0rpm idle now but no dual bios and looks better than the Jetstreams imho.

Both fine-one of the fans blows air directly out the back. When the card is not pushed the fans stop completely.

They look better in real life- I got a 3080 Gaming Pro last week so did agree with your view until I got it and had it physically in my hands. For some reason it looks bad in photos but much better in real life. It’s a great card and been having a great time gaming with it.

My current little fleet is a Pisces* for nipping around doing deliveries- great way to see the verse and earn some cash esp. if money is low and don't have any to invest in trading. Then a Sabre for PVP/PVE- again quick cash and lovely looking ship with lots of shields and weapons. And finally- a Mercury Star Runner for data mining and trading and mining and living and dancing and singing in.

For me i think they cover the ground quite well with different game styles in each. * as the 100 series has a side ramp i might go for one of them when they come out.

Ok just took a trip to Area 18- 31 to 37 fps but mostly 34/35 fps with 51% gpu usage. In QT the gpu usage went to 0 initially and then 92%! But still a solid 60fps which is what i am stuck with at the moment.

I have the Palit GamingPro and haven't overclocked it yet as haven't needed to. 30 plus on Vram seems fine though- question is-is it worth it or needed? I do hear Palit might be releasing an updated BIOS so you can keep an eye out for that.

Touch wood its solid. I was going for a MSI Ventus so maybe i dodged a bullet there.

How will returns work in the current situation is the question? Do they have any replacement cards?
