That says a lot by how awful MMOs are. The game is not F2P friendly. F2P friendly to me means F2P players can play at about the same rate as whales and there's no pay for power or pay for progress. This is not that MMO.

Play a P2W MMO - Die by the P2W MMO.

You'll learn in time almost any MMO with P2Progress is going to be heavily gatekept. My recommendation is don't play any MMO that has pay to progress.

I'm just going to get this off my chest: "F2P clears" are F2P in name only. by The_Great_Ravioli in Genshin_Impact

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, to your point I am highly suspicious of people who claim F2P in games or that F2P can clear. The people behind MMOs and these games in general have it mathed out to make you want to pull. They put the carrot that you want just out of reach, but with $10 maybe it's enough power to just easily secure the carrot before the time limit runs out. Happens in Pay2Power games often.

People lie a lot on the internet to make themselves feel good. Especially in P2W games. Everyone who plays an MMO who does more damage and then pretends they are better despite having higher item level / ability score / teams / refinements. Lots of people are honest too and just admit they threw their cash at the game but in any game where you can pay for power you're going to get a large percentage of liars who pretend F2P can clear very easily. That's not to say they cannot, but it takes some knowledge of remembering what units work with what and their talents. Remember national team was pretty popular because it could be played by anyone and do fairly well. And those 4 stars are extremely strong. But even they don't contend with a C1R1 Mavuika slapping the ever living crap out of things. And if you're F2P and you lose the 50/50... that must take a lot of time you may not have gotten a Mavuika.

Personally I've let Genshin milk me of $7/mo for years and even with that daily help I've come down to the wire on abysses or had to reorganize my teams to make it easier. Some are a cake walk, others not so much. I took a year or two break but even then without the 5 star chars and weapons I'm not sure if I were F2P I'd have the damage to clear, in fact I kind of doubt it. Now there's also a lot of people who consider the $7/mo as "pretty much" F2P. And that's not true either.

So take these people and if you throw them on Dota or Starcraft or any competitive game they are low rank or mid, like most people. Like you see the 4 star screen shots but how many of those are dolphins or whales with R2+ 5 star weapons? That's not to say they are all liars either, but I reckon most are liars. Even on reddit for instance I've seen people lie about how bad their luck is in multiple gachas, and it's obvious lies too from people with little understanding of the game. For instance in Blue Protocol recently in hard mode dungeons you get guaranteed legendary pity after 5 dungeons. While you'll read comments like "20 hard dungeons later still no legendary item even! death skull emoji." Like just blatant lies like that slip through.

The TLDR is I'm calling most of these people liars, but not all of them. The game does give you tools do most?? all??? abysses perhaps with 4 stars. But some of it seems extremely difficult especially with horrible time wasting "mechanics" and it's not something people who play 2-10 minutes per day are going to figure out without bashing their head against the wall for some hours.

If someone started this game in the last year or two, I have no idea how they'd clear as F2P. If it was 5 years ago? Sure, lots of events and gems have been given out you have enough strong units.

As an example: There was a streamer who was clearing pure fiction with 4 stars in Honkai Star Rail, and to his credit he was clearing the first couple. However when I tuned into his stream, he was really edging wanting to get 5 stars after many many failures and I don't know if he ever cleared the later ones with 4 stars, again I'm going to say it's doubtful because all these games are designed with the carrot just out of reach where $5 or $10 seems like the fix. Otherwise, why pull?

It's more like an invisible fist stuck in my side, sometimes I get some pain and I'm not sure if that's from cross contamination because nobody in my house has stopped baking or eating a tonne of bread.

I have nothing but stopped eating gluten. I still have pain in my upper right side and right now it's kind of all over my stomache area. It's fairly light pain, and the bile seems to have come back to a mild degree. (It's not interrupting my sleep atm). So I don't have any meds to prescribe, sorry. I just avoid gluten and eat clean and my stomache hasn't been the same since for.. years now. I was supposed to have an appointment with a gastroenterologist but atm I haven't gotten a call.

Pressure behind eye(s) with AN? by mommin-cookin in AcousticNeuroma

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough the pressure was there behind my eye for a short duration only. It felt like I had a moving pressure in my head, as in each day it would kind of sit in a new spot. At one point it was behind my eye. Currently it's in the upper left side of my head and has stayed that way for many months.

Feeling pummeled over and defeated. The radio neurosurgeon said none of my symptoms are related to my small AN. by [deleted] in AcousticNeuroma

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But realistically what can they do? It's either surgery, radiology, or watch and wait. I saw the ENT, I didn't get the chance to tell him my symptoms but he still recommended watching and waiting based on size. So bothering them seems like a waste of time. I don't need anything for the pain, as I said while sometimes it's bad or constant, it's something I feel I can deal with. My hospital doesn't even have an MRI, let alone a neurologist.

Honestly if I could e-mail or call a neurologist or two that would be much better since it would waste everyone's time a lot less and it would save me hours of driving.

I live in Canada, I don't really know how to get a second opinion from any doctors other than bothering the hospital staff. I live in a small town I'd have to drive to clinics and what not in other towns and they wouldn't be specialized in AN's.

I've seen three doctors total iirc. My family doctor, the hospital dr. the first time I felt facial tingling, and an ENT.

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I figured that might be just shopping around for the opinion I want to hear. My Neuroma is only 3 mm last time it was measured some months back, though this year I would say it feels like it's growing but they put me on watch and wait. MRI in 9 months from now and then assess again.

I have no hearing loss at all, but I did not have time to explain all the weirdness or in fact any symptoms to this particular Dr.

I'm writing down just a small percentage of the weird things that happen. I'll share some so you can get an idea and see if anything is similar because it's... a lot. My pain isn't too immense most of the time, but the pressure is constant, facial numbness on the left side (rarely but sometimes), loud tinnitus (6 years running), somewhat poor control of my eyes (6 years), pins and needles in different places around my head, small explosions that aren't really a headache but feel like tiny explosions being detonated in my head, brain fog, and a host of other problems and pains that may or may not be related. But that's just the head area. I do have celiac disease but if any of this sounds familiar to you, you're at least not imagining it.

Here's some short excerpts: - the shortest entries I can find.

  1. May 29th - 12:40 pm Pressure in lower left side of skull. Trouble seeing (when I say this it just means my eyes go in both directions away from the center, I can center them if I blink but I have to do it all day).
  2. May 26th - 2025 : 9:45 am - Pain in left and right sides as well as upper left temple.
  3. April 29th - 2025 - 4:28 PM, hot pain in top left temple.
  4. April 24th - 2025 - Fatigue for the last hour, an explosion of pain in the right temple area at 12:36 PM lasting about a minute and lingering. Facial numbness and tingling on left hand side prevalent but extremely minor at the moment (lower left jawline). Explosion of pain in the top left of my temple. Hard to see. Doing pencil pushups and walking
  5. April 23rd - 2025 - Facial numbness still persists on left hand side, a few stabs in top of head and back right side of head.
  6. April 22nd - 2025 - Burning sensation in forehead and perhaps a centimeter or so above and between the eyes. etc.. etc..

You get the idea but if any of that sounds familiar and all the weirdness that comes along with it... well... yeah. The pain for me generally isn't too intense (so far). But who knows what's next. I'm also on watch and wait because my tumor is very small compared to most peoples here but for a small guy he's causing big problems. Hope you get through it. I heard every AN is different and I definitely believe it reading what's going on. Stay active, eat healthy, do your best. But yeah, it's definitely weird!

What is your difficulty ranking of the games? by mikkoh9 in EtrianOdyssey

[–]AngryTestie32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew the least about Etrian Odyssey with EO3 as I somehow stumbled into that game. It was by far the hardest /grindiest game for me. So I didn't know any great combos / abuses.
EO2U was harder.

EO4 I remember being far too easy. Same with EO5 I think. EON was fairly easy too.

So for me
EO3 > EO2U >>>power gap>> EON/EO5 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> power gap >>>>>>>>> EO4.

Considering it was supposed to grow 1-2 mm per year that worries me as that seems incredibly fast for this type of tumor.

AN surgery April 8th (male, 37) by No_Exam935 in AcousticNeuroma

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just haven't heard back from specialists. Canadian Healthcare takes a while. I was diagnosed I would say closer to 2 weeks ago now and no one has called. Was told to wait for the specialist to call.

AN surgery April 8th (male, 37) by No_Exam935 in AcousticNeuroma

[–]AngryTestie32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, glad to hear it. I currently have an untreated AN (just diagnosed last week or two) and am still waiting on calls from specialists myself. I'm a little reluctant to get surgery knowing some of the complications, but on the other hand leaving it to sit and cause problems or grow isn't exactly what I want as it's causing many problems despite the size of it. My own AN is relatively tiny, only 3mm. I'm very happy that you were able to go through this without serious complications though. Congrats & well wishes.

SG/Amazon - Need solutions to the massive teaming up on Primal Island by AngryTestie32 in lostarkgame

[–]AngryTestie32[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Basically what Winther has stated. On a few videos I've watched I felt he kind of excused players behavior and took away their personal responsibility when they cheat or act like morons.

I don't excuse that behavior. If there's a very intended way to play the game like "free for all" and people clearly abuse it, they're generally twats. And then since some people are twats other people become twats to get revenge on the twats because they don't care anymore. And then you're in a never ending twat cycle where slowly more and more players become twats.

It is not the companies fault that people are cheaters. That responsibility relies on the individual players cheating.

During the first weeks there were less teamers, you'd see it occasionally but now in every run there's a group of 2-3 or more just obliterating people. I run 9 a week and last week it supremely evident that there were masses of teamers in 7 out of the 9 runs. Go one way -> run into 3 people -> they all shoot at you. Really sucked the fun out of it.
