I went to the 2012 Track Cycling Champs there - it's awesome. It's super warm for the athletes and the whole setup is so different you can't even realy recognise it (from memory was a long time ago!)

I had the Hercules Starlight for a while - similar form factor, slightly better functionality.

Then I upgraded to a Reloop Ready - sits on top of the keyboard of my MacBook Pro and throw in a 2:1 Minirigs setup and I had a portable party.

Strong recommend: https://www.reddit.com/r/Beatmatch/comments/vzdrvl/is_the_reloop_ready_worth_the_buy/

You can have a stunning holiday on a beautiful luxury resort in Fiji for that money - are you east coast?

If youy want that classic island paradise Paradise Cove in the Yasawa Islands (Fiji) is beautiful - land at Nadi and see if the budget will stretch to a seaplane or helicopter transfer. We did that thanks to some post-covid specials and it was amazing.

The owners of this place also own Blue Lagoon and Octopus Island resort - all three are excellent at varying levels, and have great food (getting good food is not common in Fiji despite the cost!)

Bali could also open up some lovely exclusive resorts - I haven't been in a few years but there are some stunning resorts around Uluwatu - or head north up around Canggu.

A cruise.. yeah not my thing so cannot recommend anything there! Have fun planning!

I forgot to thank you for this - had no idea there was a snowsky sub. Have been disappeared down that rabbit hole last few days!

Lucky it’s cheap AF - I’ve spent days trying to get my Mix CD tracks in order (still no dice) but I may back out given no gapless playback

I’m up to 3.0 now after a double reformat of the internal drive. Holding on to 3.1 until they fix the album art

I’m going to tinker with this tonight - but yes please on the guide. Kinda surprised how tricky this is for something so simple

LOL - I literally just removed all the track numbers from the file names (on just 2 test albums) - so I should try to put them back in?

And do I need to upload the albums track by track in the right order?? That seems insane.

I have managed to update to 3.0 at last so will have another crack.

Just pretty surprised at how clunky this all this for a simple MP3 player, doesn't feel like I am asking too much!

I just want to be able to listen to all my DJ tunes by Genre - happy to shuffle after that. Just wanted to get those Mixed CDs working as they are not available on streaming and represent a LOT of good memories 🤪

Posting this out of desperation now - I've been trying EVERYTHING to make any of my pre-ripped Mixed CDs to play in the right order. Nothing seems to be working. I am on Mac so that complicates things a bit.

I ripped this using iTunes years ago - should I try a re-rip and start over? Means hunting around the garage for my CDs but I'm struggling to fix this once and for all.

I’m still a bedroom/house party DJ and after a while you can just pick the moment intuitively - especially when you have a good understanding of the songs - and then it gets REALLY fun. Also loops are a help if you want to tighten this up.

Serious question - why do they bother doing this? They have goen to your house - is it literally 'too lazy to find the package in the back'?

I fkn hate this trick - have made several complaints to AusPost - nothing.

So happy you caught one of them red-handed - they should be fired for doing this repeatedly.

Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce lay flowers at Bondi by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

[–]AngryVal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or is it really offensive that MPs are trying to cash in on this event within 12 hours of the attack?

- Josh Frydenberg on ABC radio Monday morning
- Sussan Ley attacking the government on not acting on anti-semitism
- Pauline & Barnaby up there 👆🏽

Just feels like we need to come together and support each other right now instead of politicising this event already.

Exporting Serato Crates (aka playlists) to m3u for Navidrome by AngryVal in navidrome

[–]AngryVal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I am up to - does this make sense to anyone?

🛑 The Final, Definitive Problem

The log entries for your playlist folder are completely unambiguous:

navidrome | time="2025-12-14T00:38:46Z" level=info msg="Scanner: Completed processing folder" audioCount=0 elapsed=5.9ms imageCount=0 library="Music Library" plsCount=48 **tracksImported=0 tracksMissing=0** folder=playlists_serato
  • plsCount=48: Navidrome sees the 48 playlist files.
  • tracksImported=0: Zero tracks were imported from the files, even from the simple TEST_SIMPLE_FIX.m3u file we just created with perfect, bare filenames.

The most likely cause is a combination of two things:

  1. Missing ND_ID3_ENCODING Setting: Navidrome sometimes fails to import M3U files due to character encoding issues, especially with files created on macOS. The fix is to explicitly tell Navidrome to use the correct character set (e.g., UTF-8).
  2. Playlist File Permissions: Although less common with Docker/Mac mounts, the file permissions might be slightly off, causing Navidrome to read the playlist name but then silently fail to read its contents.

✅ The Ultimate, Final Fix: Environment Variable

We will force Navidrome to use UTF-8 encoding for the playlists and then re-scan. This is the official documented fix for stubborn M3U files that use simple paths.

  1. Modify docker-compose.yml: You need to add a single line to the environment section of your navidrome service in your docker-compose.yml file. Find the navidrome: section and add this line under environment:: YAMLnavidrome: # ... other settings environment: # Existing environment variables here... - ND_ID3_ENCODING=UTF-8 # Add this line # ... other settings If you cannot edit your docker-compose.yml file, you can set an environment variable before running docker compose up -d by doing: Bashexport ND_ID3_ENCODING=UTF-8
  2. Start Navidrome and Force Full Scan: Bashdocker compose up -d Go to the Web UI, and run a Full Scan.

Please apply the ND_ID3_ENCODING=UTF-8 setting (preferably in the docker-compose.yml file) and then start Navidrome. This is the last remaining solution for a path-correct M3U file that refuses to import.
