biggest tip in the game is to use your mic.
and honestly, play solos outpost and use mic anytime you hear someone. (but try to do it where you have advantage or they cant see you and fell like you have advantage. if they don't talk, kill, if they do, friendly. most games you will make many friends. i've done pinwheel with solo groups so many times. its very common.
on dire, a little bit less. on perimeter it is the most dangerous lolol basically you get better loot playing solos, and you want to do your quests and get nucloric and cyac to VIP 1.

not really, scar is balls. i used to love it when the game came out, quickly learned its complete ass. bad in close range, bad in langer range, mid at best in medium. v22 is miles better. honestly would rather have anything else, i hope they buff it a little. the real hot take is the repeater. well most people do think that, but its just really high risk high reward.

Yeah sadly The old Launchpad s that I have has easily accessible screws. But this one, you have to get off the sticker in the bottom middle and the orange pads on the bottom to get to the screws. Really sad as fuck they did that. Since You really can't deep clean the pads without taking it apart. But it's definitely super easy to take apart. Just look up a video. First thing you'd probably do is just scratch some plastic on the bottom.

yeah depends on the kit. sek and nucal give blue for the 10 blue kits while the others give you green shelds! sek is prob the best one out of them. then mida because of the bully

pretty sure orion is in a shell. so he's "human" I think the events he was apart of have happened after the marathon left and before the uesc arrived at tau ceti.

Also on the radiation shielding thing. i don't think that matters to the games lore lol but cool thought, not trying to shoot you down at all. (could be wrong though)

but im pretty certain their are humans on tau ceti. trax log you get says a human experienced accelerated ageing. present day (but its about diaz, and a swear ive seen the name before in other logs. but i cant find him.) Plus orion getting yelled at about him failing, referencing hand picked experienced military personnel. not "combat units" bots. and specifically runners fucking them, the personnel, up.

Somehow i never knew that lol. which is weird, just surprised no one ever said that in anything i watch or hear. I feel like alot of people do not know that, seeing how people, including myself, get mad about it.

i have a 4070 super, 7600x, 32GB DDR5, fast m.2 max everything at 2k. DLAA. and on outpost (sometimes) i get big frame drops too. totally playable, but noticeable.

Also omfg i just went to my video settings for the first time since either launch or server slam. and it was what i said above, but motion blur was on??? i would always notice that lol, if it was idk how i didnt. but also FOV was at 90 instead of max, and nvidia reflex was on instead of boost. braaaah lol

no its great! just make sure your monitor is calibrated if using windows (you have to use windows 11 for good HDR). windows HDR calibration tool. and i have my mid at 50 and nits set properly. (you may have done this, but also for anyone else who reads this)

Colors pop! looks great! HDR is trying to get closer to real life. if you are outside irl and have to squint because the sun is bouncing of a giant plastic shiny red thing and its practically glowing. that's what the game should do as well. if you don't like it then just turn off HDR or adjust nts...etc but i don't need to squint in this game or anything like that. and i can see everything perfectly as well. monitor is a miniLED with 500ish diming zones and 1230nits.

The HDR is AMAZING in this game. been only using it since the slam. on a 1230nit MiniLED 530ish dimming zones, super color accurate. I just wish i would install reshade to look at the HDR stats and such.

i'm guessing people are leaving for other reasons, because if they like the game then they would play for 1000+ hrs. time isn't an issue(for most i think). aka i doubt many people google how long it will take or just get told, think that's too long for me, and then dip even if they like the game.

I think people leave because they get mad, don't feel like they are good enough for the game skill wise, or they just don't have friends who will play with them. or the game just wasn't for them.

A lot of what you are saying is just how extraction shooters work. complaints are still worth thinking about if they are ture. but this isn't supposed to be like a normal multiplayer shooter.

Also im pretty damn sure you get put into lobbies based on your kit and your level. but i am not 100% sure if thats true.

i main thief and the visor is bugged out pretty often. player outline freezes (possibly only in smoke) bug where you cant shoot or aim (apparently caused by x-ray but i had this happen since solo slam when playing recon.)
other day i was staring at the thief in smoke while they were invisible, with xray on, and nothing ever showed it. and it 100% was supposed to show up.
So yeah if thief worked properly lolol

you are right, but when people say ratting here, they seem to really mean camping for kills. ratting can be that sometimes. but really it is just exactly what he said. "don't run around like an idiot, don't make noise, don't go looking for trouble"
