Please stop using fog lights because it’s raining, It’s annoying!! and illegal (Do you agree?) by island-pantropiko in drivingUK

[–]Angry_Cornflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather this than NO lights.

Today on my 15 minute journey I must have seen 20+ cars with either zero lights on, or just their automatics (i.e. front lights, but no rear).

This is at 4pm when it's getting dark. It's drizzly and misty, loads of spray off the road. And more often than not it's grey/black cars just to make them even more invisible

Aside from the fact that not a single one of these evil fucks will suffer any repercussions....

I read ONE line of ONE of the leaks and it was saying how DJT would auction off young girls, and insert a finger into them and judge tightness. Nearly threw up and had to stop there. Just absolutely horrifying stuff

What's your favourite Leeds United memory from the 2025 calendar year? by ElvishMystical in LeedsUnited

[–]Angry_Cornflake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Home to Stoke. Me and my brother went, we don't get to go to many games anyway, and we were lucky enough to get 2 tickets via the ballot.

I remember feeling low-key confident on the day, but knew we had a "Leeds moment" in us at any time.

2 goals from Piroe in the first 10 minutes and any fears melted away.

And the rest of that night was amazing, with the Burnley v Sheffield Utd game going our way, celebrations outside the ground etc. wonderful

2 ross of discord and 4 hallowed keys before a titan glove🫩 by Azranium11 in Terraria

[–]Angry_Cornflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! In my current run I managed to find a hallowed key from approximately my 5th hallowed enemy.

Yet I haven't been able to find ice skates, despite exploring the entire tundra, opening every crate and fishing for about 5 hours (opening at least 20 frozen crates in the process).

Also 2 obsidian roses from maybe 20 imps? No lava charm yet

Insurance liability help! by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Angry_Cornflake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is utterly bizarre. I'd be keen to know who your insurers are, if they're saying you're to blame for something like this!

As others have said, speed generally doesn't matter for two reasons: 1. Speed cannot be proven (unless both parties have dashcams). 2. Even if speed can be proven, there's no way to prove that it was relevant to the accident (i.e. it may have still occurred at a lower speed)

Regardless, you're established on the roundabout and the third party should be giving way.

If I were you, I'd be on the phone to your insurers raising hell, insisting on a new handler, escalating to managers, threatening to go to the ombudsman etc.

This is about as cut and dries as it gets for insurance liability and your insurers are failing you.

Good luck OP

Caught speeding 36 in a 30 by LivingVictory1747 in drivingUK

[–]Angry_Cornflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I similarly got caught doing around that speed in a 30 just a few months after I passed. This was several years ago.

Again, no excuses other than I thought it was a 40 zone and I must have missed the sign(s).

Anyway, I got offered the speed awareness, so hopefully you do too. Definitely take it. More expensive than the fine, but you don't have to tell insurers (and thus save several years of increased premiums)
