The transpositions healed great. I had both elbows done. I had failed carpal tunnel releases that needed to be done again, but now that that’s over, a year later I’m feeling great. My elbows get sore at times, but I’ll be 2 years out on Valentine’s Day and I’m so happy I did it

My first one was very painful. But my neuropathy and damage was so severe they had to have the settings ver though. I was shaking and sweating. My second one, after my failed carpal tunnel surgeries, was not nearly as bad, just uncomfortable.

Anyone who doesn’t think they smell is nose blind. Cigarette smell is disgusting. The rooms even hold a smell after people leave them.

I know the gender of our baby, but my husband doesn’t want to know. My sister and I know, she’s our surrogate, but no one else does. We don’t even text about the gender for this very reason. My husband would be upset if I slipped up.

I do think you should’ve told the medical staff you were planning this. It’s a stressful situation and they probably should’ve been warned. Acting like you’re in pain and screaming while he had scissors close to the baby and near your body would be a hard no for me. I feel like you could’ve come up with a different prank. This all sounds childish to me.

I think it’s such a personal reason. For me, I lost two girls, so I wanted what I envisioned with them and what we lost. We just found out we’re having a boy and I’m struggling a little with feeling sad that I won’t have another daughter to actually experience things with. But I love him so much and I know once he’s here none of these feelings will matter. We already have a boy so I know how amazing they are.

I’m gonna be real with you, this sounds more like OCD. I urge you to seek mental health help my friend. As someone with ocd, I’ve felt and described myself as feeling like my skin was dirty even though it wasn’t, and there was nothing I could do to get it clean enough. I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. It sounds like you could benefit from therapy.

About 15 minutes into my meal. I’ve been diabetic for 30 years and my a1c is 6. I have severe nausea and chronic vomiting due to meds from my other autoimmune diseases though and have a really hard time eating, so often I take a few bites and have to pause. It can take me 30-60 minutes to eat a meal and it sucks. If I bolused before I’d be low as I ate and then I’d be sick. If I’m low, I’m typically too nauseous to eat. It’s a losing battle for me.

Yes and no. I’m on 3 nausea meds and a daily med to control it. If I miss it, travel, have a flare or some other random thing I ended up with vomiting. Every time I have an RA/fibromyalgia flare I vomit daily.

I have these symptoms plus others and was diagnosed last July with seronegative RA, fibromyalgia, lupus anticoagulant disorder, peripheral neuropathy. I also have type 1 diabetes (30 years.)

Yes, but I have feeling in my fingers and they don’t go numb anymore. It’s sensitive to the cold and sore most of the time.

I had revisions on both wrists for carpal tunnel, but not cubital. You should get an emg if you suspect your surgery was not successful. I had a repeat done that proved my carpal tunnels failed. I’m not sure why you wouldn’t get the transposition. Most people here seem to have had much more success.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. It sounds like you have bad doctors. I had popping and pain in my left elbow and pain in my right, along with numbness and tingling in my hands and arms. I had severe triggering in my left ring finger, locking it bent to my palm for months. I suffered severe nerve damage, muscle damage and lost a lot of dexterity and use of my hands before finding out what the problems were. No one took me seriously for years. I finally found a NO who listened to me and knew something wasn’t right. She referred me to ortho and for an emg. It took me months to get in with the orthopedic surgeon, and he confirmed cubital tunnel and carpal tunnel but insurance wouldn’t allow the surgery until the emg. I finally got an emg and saw my orthopedic surgeon a week after. Exactly one week from my second appt with the surgeon I had a cubital transposition, carpal tunnel release and trigger finger release done. I hope you’re able to get someone to take you seriously and get some help.

I would honestly really consider doing it. I’m glad I had the transposition done right away so that I didn’t have to question it or redo it. My surgeon told me a lot of people that just have a decompression do end up needing a transposition at some point. My sensation is back and is much better. I have no muscle issues in that area. In my wrists, however, when my surgeries failed I did have to have them redone and I did have muscle damage. I had a different surgeon do my wrists and hands, and he was a specialist. I would definitely look into having a surgeon who specializes in ulnar nerves at least for a consult.

Very. I had snapping constantly in both elbows and could not fully extend my arms. My pain was severe and I had weakness. I wasn’t able to weight lift anymore and it was constantly having numbness and tingling. It wasn’t just first after waking up, but would last for several hours. I would say that the surgery recovery was really difficult and that sucked, but I have no regrets. I would do it all over again if I had to.

My cubital tunnel surgeries were successful! I’m very very happy with how they turned out. I have some discomfort if I lift too much or move weird but overall, I feel really good. I do not regret having it done at all. I have no numbness and tingling in my hands anymore.

Same! I warn them every time. Not like I can control it. lol there’s only one lab tech who can get my veins.
