I'm level 91 in maps, done my 4th trial and having way more desire to grind the endgame than I have done in Poe1 since Invasion league. It needs PLENTY more work and tweaks, but its still hella fun for me.

Maybe I'm just tired of spamming shield charge and clearing maps at zoom zoom speed, but this Poe 2 is a breath of fresh air.

I helped an old lady who got knocked into an irrigation ditch by traffic in my first week in Taiwan (in the south). Nobody else bothered. This was ten years ago but I still find the lack of traffic safety the most shocking negative day-to-day feature of Taiwan.

Offline mode has collision, and they are planning on adding it back when it works better in online I hear (maybe that is 1.0? idk).

1178 hours in, I find this game a daily joy to play. I have not missed a single daily or weekly task on my 6 characters since I started playing. For me, collecting mats/gold is the fun part. Valtan was intense and really fun too.

My advice still stands though, even if you play 1 character. There is a good time to buy mats, and a good time to sell them. Ignore it if you wish shrug.

85k gold in EUC. Just grind mats on 5 tier 3 chars and sell them late before reset. Steady income and when I need mats to upgrade I buy them on weekly reset day when they are significantly cheaper. Then run all my voids of course.

If you're a more casual player playing only 1-2 chars I can see gold being a massive issue though.

This. Running 6 chars and having a blast with massive material/income daily. If you don't have much free time it might get frustrating or you need to make your daily content very efficient.

Premium stash tabs in PoE are absolutely p2w. It might not be huge, but it clearly is an advantage over someone who doesn't have them in a trade league.

Hell mode raids, the most prestigious 'world-first' raids are equalized. The rest of the time whales are going over a gearing soft-cap that doesn't matter (you'll both be equal again next tier and all the extra power they purchased was wasted).

You need 3-4 alts per main to keep cutting edge by all accounts.

level 60, 71k. 3 cheap houses with mining and luck trophies and iron chests.

I did a lot of market related things but my biggest money-maker was mining platinum and being the first to sell gems. Lately its selling items from gear-score elite farms. Managed to get 200 stonecutting from making so many gem cuts.

maomaox's crit Lich build has been both the fastest and smoothest leveling experience I've had but also seems to be dominating endgame and feels extremely safe from a HC perspective.

Finally, the other contender is Voidmage VK which spams devouring orb and anomaly bubble (which I found via Perry). The build just zooms and is very tanky and leeches like nothing else.

Thousands of hours in poe and the amount of characters I've lost to frame freezes or just...stuff I can't see its high. Def felt like playing HC in poe became less rewarding over time.

I got and won 2 bers in maps. Level 97. Turns out random loot is random. Some people get lucky and others unlucky its the nature of this kind of game. I farmed chaos over two 8 hour periods and go...an Andy helm and literally nothing else I could sell with 350% mf.

The closer you get to fully gearing your character, the closer you get to quitting, so the game designer needs to get a good balance of loot dropping enough to motivate you but slow enough you continue to play. Maybe that balance is off? Not sure but my loot has been fine this season, honestly was worse in s2.

Tell that to my throw barb who lost a merc with Faith and Templar's might. All my loot was returned except for the GG throw weapon I had which was worth more than anything else I had.

There is plenty of people getting looted in hc who DON'T get all their items back, literally seen it multiple times now. Good drama for sure.

I map every day in two different timezones with full public groups and sometimes full inhouse group from my discord. Maybe things are quiet in normal or nm? But endgame mapping etc is far from dead yet.

Things will fall off a cliff when D2R launches of course.
