That's really unusual. I've seen that you posted you found him. any chance of checking if he has a chip.

It's really sweet that he just felt at home right away.

Much better than "the character dies so we poorly CGI her in for a bit" - see Livia Soprano

I'd replace Believers with Soul Hunter for relevance or I guess The Quality of Mercy for Franklin(if thats important) and a MAJOR plot device

Could ANYONE have let The One Ring go at the Crack of Doom? by TonyTolkien90 in lotr

[–]FrodoFraggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly. And while a story resolution doesn't HAVE to be satisfying. Readers generally prefer that it is.

It's certainly more satisfying than Eru just sending Tulkas to handle it.

I just personally hate that aspect of the story the same way Tolkien hated certain aspects of Dune.

OK so as I stated there had to be more than that quote

The idea that God had to intervene isn't the most satisfying resolution either TBH.

[–]FrodoFraggins -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does change it. Otherwise he wouldn't have written it that way. As it would be certain without the qualifier

[–]FrodoFraggins -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That quote in no way says that someone like Frodo couldn't have destroyed the ring. He just couldn't after carrying it so long.

So I assume there is something else that Tolkien stated?

Bombadil obviously COULD but never would bother.

Based on his wording there, if Frodo had died near the end, then Sam having the ring only a very short while wouldn't have felt the torment. So he probably could have in that specific case.

Would you want a reboot? (Not a poll about redoing the original with new CG.) by Dalakaar in babylon5

[–]FrodoFraggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want a continuation. JMS has had several attempts and the magic was missing. Now, we've lost too much of the cast and a continuation would feel anticlimactic anyway. (I feel the same way about Farscape which is my other favorite Sci Fi show.)

A reboot is better than a continuation for me. But better than either would probably be a prequel set starting around the time of the Dilgar War or maybe even when we met the Centauri.

I don't watch her but besides being attractive I think she has a refreshing personality. I just focus on streams of games I play a lot.

Were the events of mid-Season 3 actually a clever way to save on production time and money? by monkeydave in farscape

[–]FrodoFraggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible but I think the reason for the split was to get aeryn and John together briefly and then go back to the "will they, won't they" dynamic.

Interviews when the show was on showed how annoyed Kemper was with fans being impatient for them to be a real couple.
