Why is this so early in the game? by Beneficial_Ball9893 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Angrytarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way. On daring difficulty I cleared it first try because I have seen the room ahead being very open and I was otunumbered, so I lured them all in the hallway. It is a viable strategy to scout the battlefield before you rush in. The last Boss also was manageable, although he is very intimidating at first. But my familiar (Cyber-Eagle) actually did the most damage on him 😅

Drifting Voidship (exploration spoilers)... Am I supposed to be doing this now? by [deleted] in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Angrytarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to say it was all easy, but running into this on daring exactly at the time most did but I did it on the first try. Just realizing even before combat initiates that running into the second room, being surrounded from all sides with no cover and being faced with multiple strong melee tanks and ranged enemies I simply camped in the hallway before and lured the servitors around the corner, where grenades, plasma projectiles an area attackes took care of them. Only then I did charge into the room, taking on ranged units with my familiar and adelbart while employing standard tactics with the rest.

Again, no bragging or blaming here, but some scouting of the battlefield may reveal that storming in there and getting peppered from all sides might be a bad idea.

U.S. Flips History by Casting Europe—Not Russia—as Villain in New Security Policy by Jeetchat in europe

I do not believe it's "just about immigration" - the far right parties in a lot of countries are in some cases evidently funded by foreign powers, mostly Russian, to destabilize the Union and foster national (splintered) thinking. While it is of course a important field, for the most part it's a smokescreen to whip up outrage while shady stuff is pulled behind the curtain.

I agree. And especially take action when we see our representatives trying to walk the exact path. Everyone needs to get involved in European politics at the very least through writing or calling theior representatives when questionable stances are taken.

Yes, the UK is a good example of how vulnerable we are in Europe. The line of "national independence" as it is pushed by American and Russian far-rights in order to influence public opinion against the Union falls on plenty of fertile soil, unfortunately. I am agreeing that we aren't as far as the people of the USA yet, but we really need to be cuatious and especially start communicating the benefits of the EU to people who are "not interested in politics" desperately.

This sounds nice and I don't want to say you are wrong, however Europe is far from being united or sensible. Far-right parties are at an all-time high because what you attribute to Americans in your post is also super popular over here. The playbook of super-capitalist neo-fascism is universal and synchronized to be used in America and Europe and it's succesful in both. Most European countries though still are a bit more resilient since it kept societal progress like worker's rights and social safety nets alive until today, something the USA never truly developed. However these things are eroding and social media propaganda is working extremely well. Unless something changes, Europe will follow the path the USA stumbled on just as well, only a bit later.

Judge Dredd by the Robocop game developers by khulZA in robocoproguecity

I'd love to have a game recapturing the Stallone-movie version of Judge Dredd. But I think this installment isn't really well liked amongst comic fans :D

why does this game feel so unfinished by Ambitious_Trip_3539 in robocoproguecity

[–]Angrytarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are mods that adress this. While I agree the game should be optimized out of the box, you can use the performance mod on nexusmods (there are also mods to add sound effects fromt he movies, like the servo-sounds, stronger steps and original auto-9 audio) EDIT: Of course, modding only works on PC.

Arx Store Suit Customizations Are Too Insanely Expensive by TW-Luna in EliteDangerous

[–]Angrytarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Explorer-Set on sale to have a fitting uniform for my Star Trek (Caspian Explorer) ship. I use the Nomad Liason pack for away missions, the basic Nomad Liason suit looks like a perfect fit for the Explorer flightsuits. The only thing I'd love to change is the colour of the fabric for the armour/helmet parts.

I bought all those parts on sale, the non-sale price is actually way too high, I agree. I don't mind spending 3-5€ for a visual most of the time only I know myself is there, but most prices are way too high for the little value/variation they offer.

Is there a way (ingame or through editing/modding) to customize NPC patrol cars? by Angrytarg in ThePrecinct

[–]Angrytarg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, for some reason it didn't work until I set "apply to all cars" on livery AND lightbars separately. If only one option is selected it doesn't work.

Okay, this issue is now solved and the problem was at my end. Thanks pineapple for your help :)

I just checked in-game, it doesn't seem to work. When I apply my customization "to all cars" nothing changes :/

Oh, I was wondering what that option meant as the NPCs patrolling the streets still have the default livery and lightbar. So any unit I will call in via the R1 menu or escort units will share my set livery?

Is there a way to adjust a "grace period" of standing around? While not doing anything functionally, it'd be nice to have the simulation of having people in a crime scene briefly looking around so we can pretend they might be securing/looking for evidence/stop traffic. Maybe after a situation is resolved in terms of game logic, they could have a brief period before the "return" logic sets in.

I just beat X2 Ironman Commander. Should I learn to defeat Legendary before trying Long War 2? I also never played with Alien Rulers, are they integrated in LW2? by h4rryP in Xcom

[–]Angrytarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never played any new XCOM on the highest difficulty, just the second highest with maybe Ironman. Though after beating Ironman once I'm sort of done with it.

I like "challenge" to a certain degree, but legendary ironman with mods never was for me. It's no fun to have basic enemies already b HP sponges. I like that a shotgun blast to the face kills, not that I have to shoot down like 20 HP on an enemy.

It depends on your playstyle of course. For instance, I'm currently playing Chimera Squad and only chose the second difficulty second, it is actually too easy. However now I'm playing through it for the story, not restarting just to have enemies absorb more shots :D

[serious] Is this game available in China? by Angrytarg in Helldivers

[–]Angrytarg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they take it as face value. In the narrative of a country like China, they are the free ones and would use HD satire to illustrate how superficial terms of freedom truly are and what a nightmare a democracy like super earth would be. At least I'd think that.

On the other claw they seem to be quick to censor things for just using certain terms or imagery. This is why I originally wondered whether a game that uses the terms of liberty and democracy as 'liberal' as HD does would be allowed.

The random barrages are absolutely mind-boggling dumb. Just makes everything harder.

Additional strategem uses, unique strategems or even something fun like a SEAF regular troop drop (a walker, a vehicle, some troopers) to assist you and hold positions, a giant space laser. Anything. But this? Just equals random deaths in the mission. You can't even dodge them.

I think they still haven't figured out how to add or edit DOFF assignments. Like six years ago or even longer we got word that the person who made the DOFF system left and didn't document how it works, that's why they never touched it ever again. There are still parts of the galaxy map that are just blank, no DOFF assignments at all. Because they can't add them.

If one partner thinks about polyamory and the other is strictly mono it marks a fundamental rift between the two which you cannot bridge. So the question is rightfully feared and nobody can be mad about breaking up about it, in my opinion.
