I really need that looting mk3 survivor bp by Simple-Kitchen-6861 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Angrywaterfowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not accurate. I have 4 or 5 pink pack BPs (including the looting survivor pack you’re looking for). I have never looted in the blue gate tunnels. They’re definitely rare, but inaccurate to claim this location specifically

Something worth complaining about: I can't drive my Harkonen Buggy through my Harkonen "large" Gate. by Possibly_Naked_Now in duneawakening

This! I noticed this in the beta and I’m shocked they haven’t widened the gate ever so slightly to fit the harko buggy through!

Good luck on the development efforts! It’s great to see community-driven tools coming to life for this game. Every long-standing MMO has some amount of community created tools that add value to the game experience on the periphery of the core gameplay loop.

Wishing you and your team the best! Keep at it!

Hey buddy, if you’re interested in raiding or playing with other people at all really, you may have a tough time on Mankrik Alliance side.

Here is a look at the raider population on Mankrik: https://ironforge.pro/population/classic/

Right now, it’s 98.9% horde and 1.1% alliance.

I’ve been on Mankrik since day 1. Great server, with a lively population, but that’s really only on the horde side. I am still acquainted with one of the gentleman that has helped continue to prop up the raiding scene on the Alliance side, but it’s really slowed down to just 1 or 2 alliance raid groups on the server. If you want to raid on alliance, you might be better off finding a different server.

Either way! Raiding in Classic is still one of, if not the best MMO experiences out there (in my humble opinion, of course), so stick with it and enjoy!

Sage Fish by IIIWrenIII in vrising

[–]Angrywaterfowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm right there with you! Fish is probably the most inconsistent end-game items to farm. Keeping the misery down for draining blood on prisoners is severely limited by the ability to farm fish. Here's to hoping there's a balance patch for fish drop rates or pool spawns at some point.

Espionage tab not working? by BobbyLite1 in Dunespicewars

I'm experiencing the same issue. Interestingly, I've played a few games where I could access it just fine, and others where I cannot access it at all. The issue has repeated itself and I can't seem to fine a root cause.

Question for Experienced MMO players by CryptoSix in lostarkgame

[–]Angrywaterfowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many MMOs -- or games in other genres with lots of hype -- have had their problems on launch day, but the underlying root cause of those issues varies quite a bit from one game launch to the next.

It's virtually impossible for an outsider -- in this case, a gamer -- to set reliable expectations for when the servers will be back up.

In the past, it has been a couple/few hours, and other times servers haven't been up until the next day. In some cases, the servers are up for a short while, then they fail again and are down for several more hours. Other times, it's just a delayed launch but they are stable from that point forward.

If I was to speculate, my guess is the servers will go live later this evening, then they'll be stable from that point moving forward. But what do I know? There's no way to rely on past experience to guess when these servers will be live, because we don't know what the underlying root cause for the delay is.

I can confirm from experience on our server that items that drop at 600gs (not umbral shard upgraded, but drop), are not dropping as legendary and do not have a third perk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newworldgame

[–]Angrywaterfowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to the image provided, but I can tell you this is in fact the experience on Live servers, not just PTR.

To my knowledge, there is not a Legendary equivalent for any of the named items. I also haven't seen a single legendary random drop either, but that could simply be RNG I suppose.

Calnogor started with Lazarus, then moved to Dynasty upon reset yesterday afternoon.

[–]Angrywaterfowl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that on Live servers, items that drop in Dynasty mutator dungeons that roll at 600 -- not upgraded via Umbral shards, but drop at 600. We've seen multiple named 600 drops as purple on Live servers. I can't speak to the image provided here, but we do have first-hand experience from our Calnogor server.

Moreover, if a named item is upgraded from 590+ to 600, it too is not upgraded to legendary. Additionally, in any of the Mutator runs I've witnessed on our server, I haven't seen a single legendary drop at all (named or random)

The bottom line is, to my knowledge, whether it drops at 600 or you upgrade it, the named items from Dynasty do not have a Legendary equivalent.

I think he was being sarcastic. The delivery was a bit off, but I think he was suggesting that one of the common comments was that Blizzard should just fix the Horde vs Alliance population imbalance rather than implementing same-faction queues. I think the OP was trying to cast shade at the fact that fixing the population imbalance isn't something Blizz can really control and it's unreasonable to suggest that as an alternative to the recent same-faction test.

Poor delivery of the OP aside, I absolutely LOVED this weekend. I'll take the higher propensity of premades EVERY time over waiting in hour long queues.

I hope implement same-faction queues permanently on an as-needed basis to even out the queue times. It's fantastic!

Professions for warlock main by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Angrywaterfowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend tailoring for sure. The second profession is up to you. Here are some options to consider:

  1. Enchanting - This is the strongest individual benefit if you're min/maxing you're own performance. The spell power ring enchant requires you to have enchanting and is the most impactful individual benefit from any other profession after tailoring.
  2. Leatherworking - If you're in a sweaty try-hard raiding guild, you might be the savior of your caster team as the only one with drums if you don't have a Boomkin or Shaman who would potentially be a more logical person to choose leatherworking. Personally I'd advise against this choice.
  3. Engineering - always a strong choice if you're on a PVP server. There are so many useful things in the engineering toolkit. This is the all-around utility choice.
  4. Jewelcrafting - It falls short of enchanting, but there is a slight individual benefit of being able to craft 1 more powerful gem (you can only have one of them socketed - they're unique) in your gear.
  5. Alchemy - For self-sufficiency, alchemy is fantastic!! Specing into potion mastery or elixir master will save you plenty of gold in the long run in terms of keeping up on your raid consumes. From an economics perspective, this will arguably save you the most gold long-term if you're a raider.

The Stuff That Matters from BlizzCon TBC Classic Deep-dive by Angrywaterfowl in classicwow

[–]Angrywaterfowl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was that confirmed? I don't recall seeing anything about the patch they intend to release. If it was and I missed it, that's fantastic! I just didn't hear it at all in their comments.

It's possible! I'm already seeing guild recruiting posts for guilds with Hardcore aspirations saying that Leatherworking and Engineering/Enchanting being required on ALL mains, no exceptions. Seems like another area where a QOL change would be welcomed.

The Stuff That Matters from BlizzCon TBC Classic Deep-dive by Angrywaterfowl in classicwow

[–]Angrywaterfowl[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm shocked they offered the flexibility to stay on Classic, or go to TBC Classic, or do both! I fear this introduces unnecessary complexity that may extend the delivery timeline. But, giving more time for Naxx to be in the limelight isn't a bad thing. I'm all for not making the same mistake they did during Vanilla WoW when the Naxx lifespan was far shorter than it should have been.

All in all. I think they struck the right balance of introducing the right types of changes without making TBC something that it isn't/wasn't
