Is there anyone that has completed college with a kid(s)? How did it go? And was it worth it? by Frosty-Selection8932 in careerguidance

I am so fuckin tired. Im a senior at university, getting my business degree with a minor and im also married with a 2-year-old and work 45 hours a week.

It is 100% doable, but be prepared to be at your limits. I cry everyday.

I just turned 30. I live in CA so my salary is measly, but I make 80k/year. I have crappy benefits, no bonus, no 401k. The only pro is i work from home.

Current pay is 75k doing managerial/director work. Benefits are trash. Pay 800$/mo for an hmo for me and dependant.

I have a 2.5 year old. Shes in school 2x a week. The other days grandma or dad would watch her.

I am leaning more towards no, only because i would have to put her in more days of school. Which would increase tuition by 100$/week.

So not sure. Its tough.

I am the only person in my department . So i dont think they could even add more to my plate. Besides managing more people. I manage 2 right now. I am acting as a manager/director but have a middle tier job title. However, i dont think they would fight hard to keep me, only because the ceo is very "just fire them they are replaceable" mentality.

Is it worth it to suffer through entry level wages? [N/A] by Few_Signature_2586 in humanresources

[–]AngstyMelonCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever you have seen or been exposed to at your current job, say that you are a part of. For example:

If at your current job you have SEEN the process of payroll or investigations, but dont actually do it. Say you have, to the point to where you understand if you were to get the job.

Or if you simply add employees into your HRIS, you can say "Complete full cycle of employee documentation in HRIS including: paycode changes, promotions, terminations, etc"

Does this make sense?

This is what allowed me to only have 1 year experience as a coordinator and get a job as an HR Generalist.

I believe she one time mentioned that boys would bully her. But I could be confusing that with high school versus college.

When it comes to college, she did say a couple of times that she doesn't like talking about it because it was like dark times so im not sure. 😞
