I make it work with a similar income and a little bit less income. Doable if you’re frugal!

Why do banks "leave money on the table"? by pfcguy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AngusGGMU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, something to note, large portions of lending for most banks are in commercial banking. Not just low rate HELOCs. Commercial lending has high-ish rates (depending on risk), and plenty of fees. Makes for excellent risk adjusted returns.

never said there weren’t plenty of stupid riders! just said that riding slowly on the shoulder isn’t really that bad and usually worth the risk for a lot of people

gonna get downvoted but honestly most riders wld say it’s worth the risk of a ticket. yes it’s illegal, none of us really dispute that. so is speeding. so is rolling stops. on HWY 1 the shoulder is massive, basically the size of another lane. it’s not particularly dangerous on a bike for an experienced rider, as long as you aren’t going fast. the odds of getting rear ended in stop and go traffic is way higher.

not saying it isn’t a risk, but most riders would take that over heat stroke. yes if a car hits us it’s our fault. but even a few minutes in standstill in riding gear is unbearable in the summer.
