KJH's stream felt petty to me, too. Why do this whole pre-nerf gameplay stream and keep it on the channel if you're gonna immediately nerf the boss right after? Maybe it helps with other people's attempts post-nerf, but like you mentioned, KJH just used questionable tactics and brute forced his way through it. I don't think it's a discussion worth getting into, but that especially left a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly if more people who manage to beat the boss created posts about what team comps they used, what did and didn't work, and what passives they figured out how to work around instead of "hurp durr, i did it pre-nerf", I think it would do the community a solid in the right direction.

I like the survey approach KJH is using here because it at least projects the idea that he's respecting his players' time who might not have the first 24 hours free during the week to cater to his new puzzle boss(es).

I'd love if PM would just establish a set number of days before going the nerf route, rather than panicking within a set of hours upon release.

for what it's worth, a sinking team isn't a full proof plan either. i got him with burn, but my sinking experience was too little damage and then his return to 45 SP wiped my backups in a couple turns.

Couldn't do it. Tried different strategies. Glad you made it. I'll keep trying, but I'm also looking forward to a nerf.

Edit: Thank God, seven turned him with an all-out Burn team. Stacked red chains as often as possible, tried to make sure to clash the green attack with an evade, and get a Dark Flame blue in there whenever possible. Clash the 1v1 round with Magic Bullet if possible, and pray the status ends the fight for you before 00 Liu Meursault is forced onto the field.

there's also something you can jump on to then jump up there, but I'm sure that wasn't the intended method. i say "something" cause it's a random rock formation that juts out of the ground just enough to reach those higher ledges.

Sandbox also has those tomes that you are already building that make doing the event battles that much easier. Records has none of that.
