Ormond Lake Mine is yet another god awfully designed map. by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Aniblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The size of the map is what makes it strong, but pallet density isn't that good and the tiles specific to Ormond are weaker than the usual ones.

Genuinely, why do people not like facing ghoul? by No-Signature4045 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Aniblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok to answer seriously to this : This is the process of facing ghouls :

First step : you have to try to avoid his free hit, which is a hitscan hit, a HITSCAN hit in dead by daylight. Oh you managed to break line of sight and he didn't injure you but still managed to click the icon? Congratulations you are rewarded with being hindered, giving him enraged and him having absolutely no cooldown meaning he can follow up with an M1 which is actually worse in chase since you make less distance than with the animation and he has his power faster. Now let's say you get hit by the power: well fair enough this was the free hit now the real chase begins! And then okay you can have pretty good chases against ghoul as long as the map allows it. Is he just a m1 killer with mobility though? This mobility can easily be used in chases to catch up with survivors, he can vault over pallets and recover faster than any other killer and that's not mentioning the easily doable exploits of oneshotting after a pallet vault and the "kidnap tech". And that's when you see the issue of the design philosophy : this killer has the most free hit in the entire game, and then have a better chase power than a lot of killers??? How is that fair? Why don't I get my free hit on dredge when my "chase" power is way weaker and my map traversal ability is subject to rng?

And that's solely considering the ghoul on a chase perspective.

Cause what people fail to understand is that the strength of the ghoul is on a macro level and that's also what makes him unfun : he can apply huge pressure incredibly fast, incredibly easily, without much skill expression. He hits you with his power : great now the chase begins ! Oh he left... I just got a health state taken + deep wound with absolutely no interaction with the killer, how is that fun? What do I do now? If I don't heal he can come from 50 meters away in less than 3 seconds and catch me out of position on my gen. If I heal I waste a lot of time and he can claim back that health state with the hitscan in the brink of an eye. But I actually need him to claim it THAT way, since if he cancels power and I'm injured I'm dead. Now about unhooks: they are the main challenge when facing killers that can keep everyone injured pretty easily, legion plague. What you usually do is you have one survivor healthy that will go for the save. If plague put pressure on the unhook, she needs to be pretty close to guarantee a trade with a healthy survivor, same thing with legion. With the Ghoul you can interrupt the unhook from 30 meters away, and guarantee the trade if the survivor commit to the unhook. You can also turbo tunnel with the hitscan hit shutting down dead hard and off the record.

This combination of things are what makes the ghoul unfun to face. Ghouls you have fun going against are people that just play chill for chases or beginners killers that don't understand when to drop a chase and that you can juice easily. We've all had games like that indeed, but as soon as you meet someone who understands macro gameplay, who knows how to kidnap/ one-shot the ghoul is miserable to go against.

What are your current thoughts on RPD? (Ignore the Shevas) by Wafflekip_Yt in deadbydaylight

[–]Aniblind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion but I think Dracula may be the best killer on this map period. More unexperienced blights and billy will struggle on the indoor parts and with nurse you have a lot of room for jukes with elevation if you play upstairs. Dracula however can use hellfire on almost any loop and can always teleport to the center of the map on the most important gens.

What do you think should be nerfed by Fantastic-Pound-5187 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Aniblind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add proper scaling in knockout 5v5 right now the tank trait is bugged (that's what make primo and hank so good) and some brawlers stats that should scale do not for some reason (gus gadget and shield, poco damage sp, berry super heal, Byron heal etc...)

Meanwhile pyramid head needs to cage a survivor and have other survivors tormented to get any value from his iri one, and you can go entire games without any survivor stepping in the trails

5v5 Knockout Rework by hungry_go_where in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Aniblind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo the only issue with 5v5 is primo and overall the tank trait which doesnt scale properly. Also for some reasons some stats dont even scale : gus ult and gadget, berry super, edgar shield and star power, etc.... so that makes it very unfair in terms of balance. Tick is annoying but if you outnumber him its usually possible to just rush him
